I have an obsessive kind of personality (I didn't even know what Vit C was until 6 months ago Laughing) and at the moment I am obsessed with finding the perfect nude lipstick.

I bought a MAC lipstick and while I loved the colour, the texture and the way it applies does nothing for me.

What are your favourite lipstick brands? In particular what nude shade do you like? For reference, I have been told I am an NC25.

Help feed my lemmings! Very Happy

I have a bunch of MAC lippies, which are fun for nights out or really cool colors but I normally layer them w/glosses.

My normal fave is Guerlain; not on the list!

Another vote for Guerlain. The KissKiss line has gorgeous rich colours, applies smoothly (yet feels like you're not wearing anything on your lips), lasts for hours (and wears off evenly), and that packaging is over-the-top glamour!

I really like a full-coverage lipstick - not too matte - just a next creamy long-wearer...my faves for colour selection and texture are not on the list; they are: NARS, Serge Louis Alvarez and from the Elizabeth Arden Line: Pink Vibrations #49.

I have just started using Bare Essentuals lipstick and love it. I have a hard time finding lipstick that will not dry out my lips, and so far this is working great. It says on really well too.

I always thought Dior had the smoothest nicest formula, but I haven't had a Dior lippie in a while. I'm using tinted lip balm right now or if not the balm, then a discontinued shade by Sugar (they don't even make lipsticks anymore, so I horded about 4 of this particular shade called 'Secret' off eBay!).

I like Bobbi Brown for the different formulas and natural colors. Also find it to be non-drying which seems to be a problem for me with alot of lipsticks. MAC dries out my lips horribly Sad

I prefer Shiseido to Mac. Chanel and Dior are too drying for my lips. Smile

I am another one that is not big on lipstick or if i do it has to be a light color. I choose Chanel. That would be the only brand I use on your list.

I'm a Bobbi Brown fan when it comes to makeup as I love their more natural earth tone colors. However, I don't think their lipsticks are very moisturizing, so I do moisturize my lips well before applying lipstick. MAC has got great variety of colors, but I find their lipsticks to be very drying. Besides these 2 brands, I do have some favorite colors from other brands (Chanel, Dior, Nars, Clinique)

I mostly wear lip gloss, but when I do wear lipstick, I like Chanel Aqualumiere SPF 15 in colors Copacabana or Key Largo.

MAC has tons of fun colors, but dries out my lips.
My fav lippies are from Nars, Lola Cosmetics and Chanel.

I voted for BB because not only am I a BB fan, but the lip colours stay true for hours, pigmented enough to evenly colour my lips yet not too drying (as compared to MAC whose colours I love but cannot wear too frequently because they dry out my lips like nobody's business).

Besides BB I also use and like Guerlain Kiss Kiss, Dior Addict and my recent drugstore find: Revlon Super Lustrous. Smile

Another vote for BB. Pale Pink (#21) is the best pale pink nude lipstick ever.

Thank you for all the recs! I didn't know the Guerlain lipsticks were that good. Wasn't too impressed with some of their eye products, but will definitely check it out now.

Also kinda lemming the recs by Pudoodles since I have pigmented lips and sheer ones...heheh nice for gloss but not if I want to actually changle my colour.

I am actually using the Maybelline Moisture (new one - cannot remember name) Lipstick at the moment. It is in a red tubs and my colour is Desert Rose. Nicely moisturising (though not as good as my lip balm) and the colour pay off is good. Plus it only has a hint of shimmer.
