Please explain some of the new icons

I know what some of the icons are on the bottom of the screen but what exactly is a

sticky? Think

why or how does a post become locked? Silenced

can anyone post an announcement or just moderators? Anxious

A sticky is a post that remains up the top of the forum, even if newer replies to other threads exist. At least I think that's right Smile

I think Admins get to post them plus they also get to decide who may or may not be able to post them (by setting specific permissions for a user).

A post is locked by one of the Admins when they, as moderators, decide that the discussion does not fit in on the forum (e.g. posting about shipping costs etc under "product reviews" instead of emailing the spa directly).

Only Admins can post announcements, unless they have set specific permissions on someone else's username that would also allow them to post these.
