Hi all! I've never been prone to millia and my skin, albeit sensitive in some ways, is in general very tolerant of products. I've used heavier products unknowingly and escaped unscathed. But I noticed two days ago while I was examining this new redness in the corner of my eye (granted, I was 2 inches away from the mirror) that I had super tiny millia newly formed there.

Ugh!

I haven't put anything on my eyes in 2 months but Murad moisture silk eye gel so I know it's from that (it didn't really do much for the texture of my eyes and dried them out progressively more and more. I thought I could at least get through a bit more of the bottle until I figured out what to try next.) I hope that Yonka or something can fix it as soon as I order it. Sad

Rusalka,

Wow, you wouldn't expect a gel to give you millia - but hey, everybody's skin is different! I once had annoying bumpy skin right in the corners under my eyes. I don't think it was millia, just these super fine tiny red little bumps. I say it wasn't millia because I always thought that millia actually isn't reddish.

I'm not sure why I get it but Cellcosmet Eye Contour got rid of it pretty quick. I would also recommend Murad Essential C eye cream to you but it is a heavier cream than the Cellcosmet. If you are prone to millia then you might want to get a sample of this one first if you ever consider buying it.

Btw, eye creams with glycolic acid are supposed to be great for getting rid of already existing millia (e.g. MDF Vit-a-Plus eye cream). However it's probably not a cream that you should use every night on young skin.

Yeah, I wish I would have known of this forum as a resource before I made my last eye-gel purchase. Smile

The funny thing is that I'm really not prone to millia. The DHS shampoo my dermotologist told me to use has almost completely gotten rid of the few spots under my eyes in just a matter of days, but the tiny red bumps on the corners of my eyes are exactly what you described, and I'm not sure what those are exactly, but they're still there for now.

Oddly enough, when I was about 17 or so I tried using the Lancome Primordial eye product and never ever had a problem with it (I stopped using it when I became more educated about eye products and age groups, but it suited its purpose well even though I was too young for it) yet that one Murad product did something.

Female skin is as fickle as our personalities. Wink

I'll try the Murad Essential C first because it sounds good for the summer! Thank you so much for your input!

I bought the Murad Silk Eye Gel and you are right! It's not worth the price.

No matter how long I tap and wait, the white powder stays under my eyes Confused

How cute...

It's a complete waste of money. I wish I had read your post before ordering Neutral
