I would like to know if it is possible to apply too many products with the result that the skin cannot absorb anymore. Or can the application of one product block the proper absorption of another product applied over the top. The reason I ask is that I have found that when I apply a certain product first, other products applied on top sink straight in. On some occasions I have used a mask and after washing it off, nothing I apply after really wants to absorb.
Are there certain ingredients which will help a product to absorb or is it the characteristics of a person's skin. |

I understand that most aha/bha products will enhance penetration of most products that go after them but not sure how much is too much product either. Because I have so many products, and I do get impatient with having to wait to finishing using up one product before starting on another, I usually end up layering 2 to 3 different products on my skin every night. 2 eye products and 2 face products just for night alone. For morning, it's 2 eye products and one moisturiser, one skin lotion and one sunblock. And I haven't even put on foundation yet! To say that I spend alot of time in front of the mirror is to put it mildly, thank goodness I don't have a DH yet coz I highly doubt he'll understand.
I'd also like to know how will I know that I've reached a point where further layering is simply a waste of precious product and time... |
