I was very intrigued by the Lips2Kiss system since one of the main ingredients of the system is HA. It is a four part system which includes: an exfoliator, a conditioner, liquid gold, and night glaze. At first, the directions looked daunting..but now that I've repeated the steps a few times on my own (w/o frequently glancing at the directions)..I'm feeling very confident. Anyway, this morning I awoke to lovely, dewy lips. (Special note: I don't have a problem with dry lips..I was more interested in the plump factor). But, this system looks amazing for someone that suffers from dry lips. My lips look really young and fresh! Even more impressive, though, were the special instruction E-mails that I received from the owner Kandis. You really feel that it is imperative to use her system correctly as she has obviously put a lot of time and effort into its development. It is the best customer service that I have ever received, ever!! You really sense that she is devoted to this system of lipcare and that our lips are basically starved for moisture. I'm very excited to see what happens during the Winter using this system. But so far, it gets my four-star rating!! Plus, the lip conditioner feels really good on your lips, too. I would describe it as a silky slip! lol

Hi Ladies - I'm here to address a few of your questions:

Other moisturizers and your lips; yes keep all your other moisturizers away from your lips. They will be counter-productive. The only other product you should use around your lips, if it isn't one of the system's products, is the LE, and that would only be where you have lines and wrinkles. (In the palm of my hand I mix the LE with my lip cream and use that as my nightly moisturizer; the LE is liquid and goes a long way)

Exfoliating: I read Tamgirl's post last evening before I had exfoliated my lips. Tamgirl, I think perhaps you're adding too much water? Rolling Eyes I'm not sure, but if you'll email me when the best time is to call you, I'll do that and we'll figure out what you're doing so you don't have to deal with exfoliative in your mouth!!! (I think I know who you are, but tell me in your email so I can look up your phone number )

Ladies, if you're just using the cream and nglaze during the day, I'd like you to try this: 4 of the 7 days in the week, use your gold followed by your ng. You will only do the heat at night. When you apply your gold, wait about a minute and then apply your nglaze. Keep doing this in a 1 to 1 ratio all day long as soon as your lips have absorbed it, apply more.

Then on the other 3 days of the week, you can go back to the cream and nglaze. Alternate them; Mon Wed Fri Sun use the gold plus the nglaze and Tues Thurs and Sat use the cream and nglaze. Now this is just a suggestion - you have to listen to your own lips as they will tell you which is best or if they need the combination. (Once in a great while stress will make a tiny spot on my upper lip get chappy and I find the combination (doing the cream + ng and the gold + ng during the same day, works best for me).

You have in your system, everything every person's lips, regardless of who they are, needs to be rejuvenated. (That's pretty incredible so I'm going to pat myself on the back Laughing) You just need to give your lips the daytime choices in the system, and let them tell you what they like most. (They really will)

Again, I'm REALLY PROUD of all of you using the system and because you have trusted me, your lips are going to be one of your very best features and you're going to LOVE how your lips LOOK and FEEL. Continue to be patient. It took me 5 years -seriously - to have this for you, I need you to give me 3-4 months. Those of you whose wrinkles above your lips are really really bad, figure 5, maybe 6 months and you'll be a changed woman!!!

Hi Everyone - here I am again

Thank you Hollywood, BluesHeart and TAMgirl99 (who incidentally deserves the credit for the lipcolor trick which allows you to wear the color from the beginning and whose directions I posted on the previous page) - thank you ladies for addressing and answering questions and concerns from the other forum members Wink

Before I clarify the difference between the lipgloss and the color with HA, let me just reassure all of you that once your lips are rejuvenated, your can wear whatever color and or product you desire. If the products you apply to your lips don't allow your lip tissues to be hydrated, and you continually wear those products, you will be once again subjecting your lip tissues to "prolonged hydration deprivation" and eventually they will return to their former state. It certainly won't be immediate because we'll have a formidable barrier repair (we're building collagen and elastin right now to fortify that barrier which will keep the moisture supply in your lips and prevent "transepidermal water loss" in your lip tissue layers). The clinically tested botanical lipid complexes in your liquid gold are responsible for this. Incidentally, the container for your LG had to be solid as artifical light in the lab was "activating" the formula and we don't want it "activated" until you apply it to your lips!

So for those of you who want to incorporate other lip color products into your lifestyle, ONCE your lips have been rejuvenated, I would suggest you alternate between using one of L2K's 11 lipgloss colors, and or one of L2K's 11 long wearing colors, and your other favorite brands, while continuing with your L2K night time treatment. (There will never be a lip treatment which will be superior to this one!) As new technologies emerge from reputable worldwide companies which sell exclusively to us (bona fide skin care companies)I am the first one to play 'guinea pig' after I have my chemist add to my system the technologies which show promise, and I can usually tell with just a few applications if the added ingredient will be beneficial, then I distribute the system with the added technology to my testers. I then document results for a specified period of time, prior to incorporating the new technology into the system. This has been and will continue to be my mode of operation, ensuring that our lips ALWAYS have the most cutting edge technology available. And YES, this system, with its 4 separate products, has a total of 9 CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGIES! (and retinol and any other acid besides hyaluronic acid is not present). Please ladies revisit the website and go to the Spa Lipcare System category. Once there, in the left hand menu click the wording, "Why the Lipcare System works" - several of the system's ingredients are listed. They are categorized according to each of the four products.

I'm going to post again immediately, and address the color and lipgloss issue and a few others. I'll be right back.

Now the difference with the antiques and your lips is that unless cell proliferation was taking place in your underlying lip tissue layers, all the peeling in the world wouldn't reveal beautiful new lips (some of you have dealt with peeling for a long time - long before you started using the system, and your lips have never improved) This time however, your peeling is totally different because it is a result of the new tissue that is being formed deep within your lip tissue layers and each layer has to go through this. Your natural maximum lip fullness results from every one of your lip tissue layers being nourished, revitalized, hydrated and rejuvenated. To form and grow new underlying lip tissue, the old stuff has to be sloughed off and the only way for our lips to do this is through the peeling process. Now tell me - did you get it???

Okay, I'm not sure I get it. Confused Let's see, you're saying that the peeling of the lip surface is a result of the new tissue being formed deep within the lips. This sounds like how a retinoid works. It works deep in the skin and increases the rate of cell turnover which can result in flakiness at the surface. I understand that analogy. You also say that every layer of the lips must go through this (the peeling). And you say that every layer must be "nourished, revitalized, hydrated and rejuvenated" in order to achieve maximum results. I'm not sure how (or if) this relates to new cell proliferation or to the peeling that you previously said must occur at every level of the lips... Confused Your last statement is "To form and grow new underlying lip tissue, the old stuff has to be sloughed off...." This seems clear at first except it is opposite to your first statement that the peeling of the surface is a result of the new cell proliferation deep within the lips. In other words, the first statement says that the peeling is a result of what's happening inside the lips, and the last statement says that the peeling is a prerequisite of the new cell proliferation within the lips. If I translate this into cause and effect, it seems contradictory--peeling is both a result of and the cause of new cell proliferation? So maybe cause and effect is not a good analogy to use. All I know is that I have a lot of trouble translating non-skincare analogies into an understanding of what's going on with this system. I would love to understand from a scientific perspective what is causing the lips to peel. Can you tell us which chemical and/or which biological process is stimulating the lips to peel? I just find science much easier to understand than analogies, most of the time. For example if you were to tell us that hyaluronic acid is a humectant that draws water into itself, and that when it is placed on dehydrated lips it dries out the surface completely because there is not enough underlying moisture in the lips, and then the surface peels. I would understand that. That's how hyaluronic acid can act in a dry environment.

I'm not trying to be difficult I just really want to understand how this system works and so far I'm not "getting" the explanations.

If you're feeling bad because you feel that Kandis got her feelings hurt and that you were the one that led her here, I would just say that you also are probably responsible for getting her an awful lot of business that she might not have gotten otherwise.

I thought your review was a very good one, and I've followed the thread with a fair amount of interest.

You really shouldn't feel bad at all. Wink

If I may ask, are you still using the other products/gadgets in your lip plumping arsenal along with L2K or did you quit all of those cold turkey (i.e.: the HA/collagen pills, lip/penile pump-thingy, DMAE or peptide serums, and/or anything else you were trying) so you could concentrate on L2K? Or are you still using some of those other ‘treatments’ in conjunction with it? I think it would be nice if you could post some of your “before” pix that showcase your lips from the other threads and post them here along with your “after L2K” pix so that we can so your progress...hint, hint! Very Happy Personally, this is what *I’ve* been waiting for (the B&A pix from trusted EDS members) as I straddle the fence on this system.

TIA,
Carrie

Great question, young lady. Smile I actually quit absolutely everything EXCEPT my copper peptides because they get rubbed all over my face (including lips); however, I don't think that the collagen rebuilding effects of CPs are quite that quick to show up. I believe it is a slow and steady rebuilding. Also, they never did anything for keeping my lips moist. Smile

Here are a few before and afters so everyone can compare! Just a reminder, though, I've only been using the Lips2Kiss system for about 40 days (I think, as I started in the beginning of December). The first photo was taken on 10/11/06 well before starting the system. The second was taken today 1/9/07 (40 days about from starting) and the last was from a week ago with the lip color Sonoma for comparison. Hope it helps as I can clearly see a difference (thanks for the reminder to post a comparison, Carekate). You may note that my lip color is much brighter and the edges have rounded out considerably. I am not wearing anything but balm in the first photo and in the second, I have a layer of the Night Cream then the Night Glaze. This is what I normally wear when I don't wear the lip color/glaze combo. Damn, I'm even more happy now with my progress! Five months, my lips will be big old puff balls!

Smile

Oh, and for the record, I want to say that I DO NOT think the pics on Kandis's site are photoshopped at all. I am getting the same results as those users and all I did was crop and resize the pics for ease of view.

The silver book says-

PM use:
Lip Exfoliate – add water to lips, exfoliate once a day, unless lips are sensitive then every other day.
Lip Cream-small amount needed apply to lips and around. Use red dot size.
Liquid Gold – generously apply, to lips and around. Use blow dryer at night.
Night Glaze – generously on lips and around lips.

AM use:
If lips are dry use Liquid Gold followed by night glaze through the day for one week.
Peeling may occur the first 2 weeks.

Since this book came out the products have been reformulated and some enhancement ingredients added that require more frequent application for optimal effect.

So I don’t think the book is the best option for instructions.

So then came the printed instructions that came with the package.

Packed Instruction Sheet-

PM use:
Lip Exfoliate – add water to lips, exfoliate once a day, unless lips are sensitive then every other day.
Lip Cream-small amount needed apply to lips and around. Can use more then red dot size. Count 15 seconds before next step.
Liquid Gold – generously apply, to lips and around. Apply with finger at night. Use blow dryer at night.
Night Glaze – generously on lips and around lips. Keep applying NG through the evening after PM treatment as needed.

AM use:
1st Option: LGold apply as often as lops need it
2nd Option: LGold, follow with NG wait 30-60 sec after gold to apply glaze) (I never did that wait)
3rd Option: LCream and NG. Do LC, followed by NG, when absorbed apply more NG (Ratio suggested 1 LC to 3 apps of NG then start over) So its LC/NG/NG/NG then LC/NG/NG/NG

Do one of these options twice an hour all day long. (or every 20-30 minutes)

The I received an email update of the new instructional sheet to clear up confusion, this went out with new product orders.

Email Update:

PM use:
Lip Exfoliate – add water to lips, exfoliate every other day.
Lip Cream -small amount needed apply to lips and around. Can use more then red dot size. Count 15 seconds before next step.
Liquid Gold – generously apply, to lips and around. Apply with finger at night. Use blow dryer at night.
Night Glaze – generously on lips and around lips. Apply with finger at night. Keep applying NG through the evening after PM treatment as needed.

AM use:

1st option: Lip-gloss, reapply every 30 min. Can add NG alone. Gold alone, or option #2 and #3 during day with gloss. (don’t use cream without NG after) Use option #4 after work when using gloss.

2nd Option: Lip cream and Night Glaze. (lc/ng) Apply LC followed by NG 20 to 30 min later apply more NG, 20 min later more NG, 20 min later more NG, (1/3 ratio) Then start over with NC. So its nc/ng/ng/ng then nc/ng/ng/ng. Not mention of the 15 second wait after the NC before the NG.

3rd Option: LGold, and Night Glaze: Apply LG with wand wait 15 sec then apply NG. 20/30 min later apply more NG.20 min later more NG. 20 Min later more NG, then start over. So LG (wait 15 sec)NG/NG/NG then LG(wait 15)NG/NG/NG

4th Option: Alternate days with options 2 & 3. Example, Monday option 2. Tuesday Option 3, Wed Option 2 etc.

5th Option: If using Lip Color system options. (for Penitratable color)

With all options do PM routine with heat. And apply something to lips every 20 minutes or so through day.

You may peel for months.
I am currently working with Kandis on a rewrite of this to make it more understandable. I have already given her some material, she needs to review. Hopefully that will help. It is darn confusing....

Honestly, I usually don’t do the 1/3 ratio thing unless using cream. To hard for me to remember. I need to ask Kandis how this will alter my results. I will try to follow that better this month.

The main changes I see from first instruction set to the second, are related to the 1/3 ratio and stressing that one apply something every 20/30 minutes. And gloss and color info.

Okay looking at my photos, there is maybe a little difference. Not dramatic, but maybe a bit of fluffyness. Of course haveing my mouth open distorts it. And one image is closer, that was not intentional.
Laughing

I am sorry I had my mouth open on one. I have to take these photos of myself, and forgot how my mouth was in the original. And this was the only one that was crisp enough to see detail.

I will look for a better photo-

These are 100% un-retouched. I just cropped. Taken in same light. Nothing on lips in either image.

The Before is actually one week into the system.
After is 30 days later.

Drum Roll please! LOL

I will try to address everything in one post, sorry if I miss anyone. Smile Please remind me if I missed you!

Caesce-The blow dry does help enhance product absorption. But the exfoliation “irritation” also causes short term plumping, along with the Blow dry step helps activate and enhance penetration of one of the shorter acting plump ingredients. This can also create a short term immediate plump effect after the blowdry step.
(both from the way light dehydration allows deeper absorption, heat enhances absorption and circulation in the area, exfoliation thins the skin slightly, allowing better absorption)

Others on this thread have said eventually that blow dry plumping lasts all the time for them. For me I never saw much plumping after the blow dry at first. But after about three weeks I did see more plumping and rosier color. But even now I have more plumping right after the PM steps, then I have durning the day. Hope to see that change!

If you peel a lot, you certainly can exfoliate more then once a day, which Kandis addressed in her recent directional sheets included with the product. The Pamphlet directions are not really as good, as they are based on the product before it was reformulated slightly - one needs to use the ones included in the printed sheets. Or email K for help. She is currently adding some instructions online, which should help.

I also addressed that earlier in ths post, and showed the differences, and suggested steps. A few pages back. (if that helps)

A toothbrush can be a fine exfoliate tool. But it can be to irritating to some also. In which case the scrub is a better option. That’s why the scrub is in the kit. If a toothbrush works better for you that should be okay also. I get similar results with either. I personally use very little water with the scrub, to get more effect as my lips are not sensitive.

I agree applying a moisturizer every 20 min “should” give the same effect. You would think that.

But I suspect it will not. Any more then a moisterizer will fix wrinkles on the skin, or address aged skin issues such as firmbness, sagging, lines, dullness etc.

There are peptides, collagen builders, lipo fillers and other activities added to this line, that do work best when applied every 20/30 min during the building tissue stage. I have not seen any other lip products with all of these. Some have some, or one or two. But not all. Or at least none that I have seen, They may be out there, and I have missed them.

I can’t comment on how big a specific impact that all creates, per each ingrediant – but it does help clarify why one treatment line may differ then another.
I know in skincare it makes a hugh difference. I have used many many many “great” skincare lines, which did help some, but until I added the correct activities at correct strengths and usage amounts, my results were much less dramatic.

And it does not matter what the label “says” a product does. That’s often marketing. But the actual ingredients, formulation and percentage DO matter a lot.

So unless your other products contain all those, at same percentages, I don’t think your results are going to be quite the same.

Lips may be very moist and feel great, but I think you will miss out on the plumping, barrier repair, long term moisture retention enhancement, and color return. After all many of us have used glosses, balms, treatments and creams on our lips for years……yet here we are. Smile

I personally have gone long periods where I exfoliated lips every night with a toothbrush, and applied copper, DMAE, and treatment balms all through the day, very often.

Yes that did help my lips some, which is one reason mine started out probably in good shape. But the results were still less then the L2K system seems to give me so far in a shorter time. Whether this will get better, or stay when I drop down to a maintenance mode – to soon to say at 30 days. And that will effect if I continue with the line.

But on the website, if you look at the images, most were not dramatic at 30 days. Many were very subtle, and probably not visible without pictures. Much like mine seemed to me. But at 60 and 90 days results were pretty dramatic.

When I started the system, I started it planning on giving it 60 days before deciding where to go. For me, anything less time just seemed unfair. Like I was wasting my first kit, if I did not give it a fair shot.

I use many skin treatment products that actually change skin structure and regrow new tissue. Things like that will take a long time. They are not fast acting things that only treat symptoms but never really help the tissue with a real long-term change. I wanted a long-term fix – not a quick symptom fix, that never heals or repairs anything. 

Of course it will not work for everyone. I understand that. And you may not be a good candidate. And it may take time to work out the application routine that does best for your lips. I had to tinker with that also. But I emailed Kanidis and she helped me. And the more Stressed or damaged your tissues are – the longer results will take. But this is also true of many other effective skincare treatments that make real change. Retin A, Copper, AHA, BHA, Vit C etc.

If it takes years to get that type of “damage” its not going to fix dramatically in 30 days. IMO. I wish it did “fix” faster – believe me!! LOL

Rubby – I only use the L2k system. I work from home, so no makeup issues. Occasionally about once to twice a week for a few hours I go to church and stuff, and will apply the L2K stuff first, Then top with a tinted commercial gloss. But I only do this for a few hours at a time. And once I get home I remove it immediately and move back to the system. If you are in a situation where you need to wear color daily, I think you need to buy at least one of the L2K colors and use that. I honestly do believe, based on product ingredients, that if you are not applying some treatment regularly throughout the day at least for the first few months, you are not going to get very dramatic results. The activities are the type that do need frequent applications to be effective, at least for fast results at first.

The colors do have treatment ingredients added.

When I run errands in town, I don’t apply gloss, just the L2K products. I have some L2K gloss on order, and have not yet received it. When I do, I will use it to replace my current color glosses during the initial treatment phase if I can. But the colors may not work for me, so may not be possible.

I agree lip health when you start will effect speed of results. I have no lines above lips, and my lips were plump to start. I have also been treating lips and facial skin aggressively for three years now. I never had L2K results – but I do think my lip care has prevented more tissue damage, and allowed my lips to be healthier to start with, so they maybe responding differently.

I have had very little peeling.

I don't mean to sound like a Cheerleader. It is still to soon to know if this is a product I will stick with. I have not decided yet myself.

But I do hope those who try it do give it a fair shot before giving up. At least to confirm that it will work for you.

I have seen posters on here who used JM Lash Intervention and were ready to throw it out when the did not have results in 30 days. But they stuck it out and three months later - they had great results, and love the product now. Smile

Here is a Quick Guide I created for Kandis to provide for her customers.

Kandis needs to go over it and confirm it is all completely correct. She has not done so yet.

But I think this is basically accurate, though may have a few minor differences. So until she clarifys, or someone else clarifys this may help.

Quick Guide Start Sheet.
(please read through all instructional information for details on entire application process, before using this sheet)

During the lip rejuvenation process, use the following suggested routine for optimal results. After lips have reached the desired condition, move onto the maintenance routine.

A.M. Beginning Routine (no color application):• Wash face and pat dry
• Apply LE to upper lip skin (optional)
• Apply LG, LC/NG or NG every 20 minutes throughout the day. (see application instructions.)

If you wear L2K lip gloss or lip color during the day:• Wash face and pat dry, optionally apply LE to upper lip skin
• Apply lip gloss or lip color
• If using Penitratable lip color, apply lip color glaze throughout the day every 20 minutes (see notes on Lip color “LipColor trick” in instructional sheets)
• If using gloss color, apply gloss throughout the day every 20 min
• You may also use the LC/NG or LG/NG steps with the gloss, not with the P. color

Upon returning home, after wearing color:
• If wearing Penitratable color, wash all color from lips first
• Use option #4 until you do PM routine (see option variant info under Application Instructions)
Variant # 2 on one day - LC wait 15 sec, then NG, NG, NG
Variant # 3 on alternate days - LG, NG, NG, NG
• After third application of NG, wait 20 min
• Start process again, Applying LC or LG, wait 15 sec, apply NG and start over
• Continue this process until it is time to go out for the evening, when you may apply your lip gloss or color, or until it is time for you PM routine

P.M. Routine, once every night:• Wash face and pat dry
• Exfoliate Lips surface and skin above the upper lip (nightly or every other night)
• Rinse, and wipe all product from skin, pat dry
• Apply Night Lip Cream (LC) to both lips, and skin above the lips OR LC to lips and LE to upper lip skin – wait approximately 15 sec for product to absorb.
• Apply Liquid Gold (LG) to entire lip area and skin on upper lip (if not using LE) with fingertip
• Blow dry lips for 90 seconds on warm
• Apply Night Glaze (NG) to entire lip area with fingertip

Throughout the evening and after retiring for the evening apply NG every 20 minutes or during waking in the middle of the night. In the AM repeat AM routine.

After Lip Rejuvenation has occurred, use the following options:

A.M. Routine:
• Wash face and pat dry, optionally apply LE to upper lip skin
• Apply LG, LC/NG or NG throughout the day, every 30 minutes or as needed, to leave lips looking glossy

If you wear L2K lip gloss or lip color during the day:• Wash face and pat dry, optionally apply LE to upper lip skin
• Apply Lip gloss or lip color
• If using lip color, apply lip color glaze throughout the day as needed
• If using gloss, apply gloss throughout the day as needed
• You may also use the LC/NG or LG/NG steps with the gloss, not with the color

If you wear other brands of color during the day
• Wash face and pat dry, optionally apply LE to upper lip skin
• Apply Lip gloss or lip color
• L2K gloss or treatments will not penetrate through commercial colorants
• Try to limit not L2K colors to every other day or less, or alternate each day with the L2K treatments of colors

Upon returning home:• Wash all commercial color, or Penitratable color from lips, do P.M routine nightly
P.M. Routine, once every night:
• Wash face and pat dry
• Exfoliate Lips surface and skin above the upper lip (three times a week)

Hi, everyone. Here's an update! I currently follow Tangal's routine (by accident but good to have confirmation) - LC, absorb, LG absorb, NG, NG, NG and then repeat. I exfoliate once per day in the morning and am now doing the 90-second heat both morning and night.

I've ordered both of the new glosses to see which I like better (or perhaps both) and will post pics of what they look like. My lip color is staying quite dark these days so that will certainly affect the way the glosses look. Here is a picture I put together that shows in order:

Original start picture (with some cream/gloss stuff but not much)

40 day picture with just the Lip Cream - no gloss

60 day picture with Lip Gold only. The spot above my lip is reflected by the light but notice how the lip vermillion (top line) is filling out really nicely. I'm particularly pleased about that since one side has always been uneven.

Oh, and thanks, Tangal for providing such detailed explanations for the other ladies!

okay.... this review is for all the people who say i can absolutely *not* be without my lippies during the day.

i flat out admit that i'm a lipstick slut. always have been, always will be. with my squinty eyes, dimpled chin, fat undefined nose, and chipmunk cheeks, my lips have always stood out as the one part of my face that is really quite pretty. not huge angelina lips, more julia roberts especially when i smile (which i do hugely). i've always taken care of them and have been using the HA caps and keeping them moisturised with By Terry lip balm and then CareKate products with no complaints.... so why was i intrigued by Lips2Kiss? because i have lines above the lips, some on them, and have definitely lost some of that darling little upper lip curl i used to have.

i have been using Kandis' products faithfully for about two months. faithfully, but not exclusively, and a blow dryer hasn't got near my lips for at least a month of that time (holiday and then travel). when i am home, i try to use her products every half an hour, but often forget. i even took them in my plastic bag allotment on the plane (paris/los angeles and back). when i'm out, though, i use lipstick or balm. only good moisturising quality ones such as Sisley, Julie Hewitt, By Terry, or CareKate (i told you i was a slut). when i get back home, i start again with the L2K.

everyone is up in arms about the price of the system, but it really isn't much more than other good quality products and in some cases less.... now, my lips did start in good shape with all i was doing, but there was (and still is) definitely room for improvement. but, despite my constant cheating (and i think a lot of people who are hesitating trying this is because they *know* they will), i am seeing my lips get better: more moisture, more definition, less lines, more fullness (which gets out of this world if i apply Candy's DMAE on them), and the curl is coming back. quite simply, they're looking younger each week (above and beyond what HA caps were doing). the only area where i have seen no improvement is in the colour which is still pretty deathly pale.

would my improvement be better if i was faithful and exclusive? quite probably. but there's no way i can be. lipsticks are my weakness, my little source of pleasure, let me have them. the bottom line is that i'm actually very pleased with her products and i don't care if it takes me longer to get the promised lips. i plan to continue using her products without denying myself my weakness for lippies. it makes me happy.

i know Kandis can be quite evangelical about her products and that you must them use them exclusively and you must blow dry and you must reapply, etc., which intimidates people. this is her life and she wants everyone to get the best possible chance for rejuvenated lips -- it makes sense. and perhaps some people truly need her lip boot camp. i didn't and don't think everybody does either. so if you're on the fence and want to try this but aren't willing to sacrifice your lipstick for the office or parties and your lips are in pretty good shape, i say go for it! it will take you longer, but your lips should improve with this. (i say "should" rather than "will" as there may be a few that this sadly won't do anything for.) as i said before, the price is not bad especially considering that you will be using less product and one set will probably last you 2 months. so go on, try it!

well this is Sexy Mama on me. May look different on Scallawag. I think she has more color to her lips normally then I do.

Do keep in mind, I have a medium Self Tanner on my face. So my facial skin is actually on the medium side, not my normal pale tone.(normal skin type 2, wears lightest Fair foundations, some Ivory foundations also)

So the gloss looks lighter here, then it probably will be on a lighter skin type.

The foundation color is Covergirl Outlast Soft Honey. (a medium warm tone)

If your lips are paler or darker, that will affect results.

On my pale skin my lips are darker, then they appear here. When "tanned" my lips are normally lighter then surrounding skin, but they are actually starting to recolor more, and get darker. (yeah!!)

Drama Queen is basically a clear gloss with a little of a opalesscence/pearl effect.

sorry HappyHippie, never used Carekates line, so can't compare.

But this is my 30 days results with L2K. Not dramatic, but a start. On the L2K site most dramatic changes were at 60, and 90 days mark. Some longer.

Hey ladies. Just got an email from Kandis and she's now offering liner brushes for the glosses (you dip the brush on the applicator to remove color instead of dipping it directly). They should be up on the site soon, if not already. You may have to browse the categories to find them as I haven't looked for them yet.

I wondered about this because from my pics, I wasn't very careful so it looked a bit sloppy. The brushes should really help with that. Smile

Oh, and for those wondering, here's my before dated 10/11/06 and today's for comparison:

Okay,

It's been about a month since I bought the sytem, but only really been using it correctly for about 2 weeks. I took before pics and took these pics this morning. Wow I can't even believe it, the pics speak for themselves and I'm thrilled!!! I love both of her lipglosses too, adore the color and it's so sheer and yum yum. I don't have her lip glosses on in any of these pics though. I actually have color back to my lips...yay!

2 before pics: you can see how dry and peeling they are, these weren't even at their worst conditions either

And after Very Happy (taken this morning)

I find for me, I am doing better with the penitratable color if I apply a light coat. Then quickly blend it lightly with my finger, while wet. Then let it dry. Apply a second coat as needed in the same way, let dry then top with the color glaze. This allows me to get a softer line on lip edge that looks less harsh and more natural.

I just tryed this today. I think I like it better then applying over the cream.

I was just looking for some feedback from members you had good results. It's just that I can't reapply every half hour and wanted to make sure wouldn't effect the program.

I didn't mean to be a pain to anyone... Sorry.

Hi Thatgirl. I read all the pages myself very recently, and I don't remember anyone saying they only used the kit at night or only once a day - BUT - if you are talking about the full-on application of all the products followed by the blow-drying - yes, most people just do that once a day, although some folks in this thread have the time to do it twice a day and have incorporated that into their routine with Kandis' blessing.

Also, if you can't apply every half hour, I know there is another lady posting here (can't remember who!) who has kids to take care of and when they are around she simply can't manage to apply that often. (I think it may be a page or two back). She said Kandis told her she was doing fine to go through her application process whenever she *did* manage the time. So I'm sure you would benefit even if you can't apply every half hour!

I think it's probably more important results-wise not to use *other* lip products while on the L2K routine, because they can dry your lips out and halt your progress much more than just having an uneven L2K application schedule.

This is just my two cents, but I hope it helps.

I've just started using these myself and it hasn't been a full week yet, but I don't have problems reapplying often ... except on the weekends, when I'll just forget! But my lips are loving these products so far.

My little green jar with the LE came spilled also, but it still had quite a bit in there. I wonder why it is leaking, because mine was tightly closed, but still it had seeped out all over! I can try and send you what I have left of the LE, Mariah so you could at least try it! If you would like me to, just send me a PM with your address.

I do use the Lip2Kiss Lip Gloss often, but not daily. I also have some of the Penitratable lip colors, but use them less often.

When I first started "working" on my lips with this system, they were not "moist" enough to use the Penetratable colors effectively, so they did not work as well. I was always able to easily use the glosses however. Their (gloss) color fades faster, but you should be reapplying them every 20/30 minutes anyway - especially while you are new to the system.

But now my lips are fully "repaired" and the Penetratable colors work much better, however I still have difficulty finding a color match that suits me well.

I am very warm toned, fair, pale lips, hazel eyed, currently red/copper hair, and use sunless tanners. So warmer colors suit me best.

In the P Color line I can use the Sonoma Sun if applied lightly. Applied thick it is to orange on me.
I sometimes top it with a VERY light coat of the Pearl, as I want a softer look, but not the frost effect. That can help some if applyed to darkly. But the Pearl is a frost, which I don't like. So a light coat is ok, a heavy coat is not, on me.

I also have the Napa Wine which is to purple cool for me, and the Palm Desert Pink one which it to pink, though it works fine if I use it as a faint wash of color. Still playing with it, as I only recently received it. Wink

I don't wear them often, maybe once or twice a week at most, when I need a "long wearing" type color.

They (Penitratable Colors)are more like a watercolor paint sort of effect, that you then top with a clear color gloss coat. Simular in feel to a long wearing two step comercial paint on product or lip stain, but without the damaging ingrediant base.

But unlike commercial products they will not prevent moisture penetration of the lips, nor hamper your lip repair process.

The glosses are much like the Night Glase in feel and texture - with added color. Wink

I do not wear colors daily though, however I certainly can if needed. Depending on where you are at in the rejuvenation process would dictate your product choices.

The glosses will work better for those early in the process, but you are currently limited on colors. Though the Sexy Mama does work well with most skin types, and I sometimes wear it over the P. Colors which looks nice also. Though you Peniratable colors will fade faster that way.

You can wear the P colors early also, but you may need to apply them on lips after applying your L2K products, which will cause them to fade faster. But will give a "softer" color effect. So this is also one way to soften the color if needed.

I don't have an ingredient listing, you would need to email Kandis for specific info on that. If there are certain ingrediants that concern you, she can assist.

I have seen the ingredients, but don't have it on a list anywhere now. And it is propritary info, to protect the formula from "copy cats". So Kandis asks that it not be publically posted. But she will assist you if you email her directly, and can help you figure out if the product will suit you.

But I concur it is not made of ingredients that would hamper moisture penetration on the lips, or hamper your product results. It is also irritant free.

Wax is not the only "bad" ingrediant, of course, that is only one ingredient that can cause issues.

BluesHeart, How does the colored glaze compare to the sexy mama gloss? Also, do you put the LE/ULLE over your entire lip surface or just the lines above your lips? Thanks!

Hi Charis,
I first apply a thin layer of the ULLE to the area above my lips including the uppermost lip line. Then, I mix in equal amounts, lip cream, ulle, line eliminator and apply that to the lips and slightly outside of the border of the lips. After letting it absorb a little I add the liquid gold and then blow dry, apply glaze. I'm also doing that in the am as well.

It was a bit hard at first, but after the first two weeks, gets easy.

It is very important that you apply very often while lips are rejuvenating, because they really do need the added moisturizer. If you only apply, say every hour, or longer - your results will take much longer to appear.
Applying less often, allows lips to begin dehidrating again, which you want to avoid, for bets results.

Sort of like medication, you need to take an antibiotic as often as prescribed (every 4 hours for example) to maintain adequate high levels of the product in all your body tissues, or it will take you much longer to recover from the illness.

But if applying once an hour or so is all you can do, then that's all you can do. At least do make a point to really apply regularly throughout the day and evening before bed everyday consistantly. Consistantcy is really the main key. You will still get benefit, you will just possibly have slower progress. So just keep that in mind.

I made a point to keep the product with me at all times, laying on my desk next to me, or in my pocket, or on my counter by me, for example, and every time I see it or think about it, I would apply.

I even had a tube of Night Glaze I carried to bed and laid on my night stand, applying before sleeping, and through the night if I woke, and first thing in the AM. (I don't do that now really as lips are much less dry, and don't seem to need it)

Now I don't apply as often (20-30 min), maybe once an hour roughly, but my lips are in much better shape - now. When first using the system for the first 3-4 months I always applied every 20-30 min as much as possible anyway.

What colors have you all tried so far? I am considering these 3 colors:

1. Light raspberry/boysenberry frappe

Anyone has tried any of them before?

I got the 3 colored NGs. They are just beautiful. I am using the Rich Pink Sorbet color today. I love it. I can't wait to try the Soft Rust/Orange Shimmer. The Light Rasp/Boys Frappe looks good, too.
