I have a dull skin tone recently due to stress and less sleep Is there a facial product that helps? Thanks! |

I'm interested in this too!
I was using the retinol eye masks from Shisheido and found they really brightened up my eyes but they're too expensive for me to use regularly and the effect goes away after an evening.
I'm hopeful we'll get lots of suggestions! |

Cees, thanks for sharing. A friend of mine suggests using Vit. C product. Have you tried? |

Haven't tried Vit. C yet, but after discovering this site I ordered some from candessence. It should be arriving any day now so hopefully I'll have something good to report! |

one of the easiest things to do to improve dullness of skin tone is, i think, to make sure you drink enough water! Getting enough sleep doesn't hurt, but is not always possible. Drinking enough water, though, you can do everyday.
I have been using CareKate's Supersonic Exfoliating mask (aspirin mask + lactic acid + glycolic acid), and I think that it is smoothing and brightening my complexion...although it is a bit early to see drastic results.
other skin-brightening things that I would like to try:
on the skincareboard people always say that Triple C serum (available from dianayvonne and skincarecentral) gives a "glow." I haven't tried it yet, though, as I am working my way through my Skinceuticals sample and eagerly awaiting C serum from Candessence.
Kathleen from skincarecentral also recommended Daisy Facial glow serum...something else I am keen to try.

Vitamin C serum, definitely, since you aren't using it yet.
Philosphy Microdelivery Kit. This always makes me look glowy next day.
CareKate's SuperSonic Brightening Mask. |

Hi Trianglefish, all of the manual microdermabrasion creams will help - so will Camellia Seed Oil! Amy |

Have you thought about trying Juice Beauty's Green Apple Peel? It's amazing--- every time I use it I wake up to the brightest complexion ever! |

I haven't tried Juice Beauty's mask. I bought their lotion before and felt regretful getting it later because it is too oily for me. Anyway, how does it work? do you actually peel the mask off? Will the strenching hurt the face? |

Actually, you don't peel it off, you just let it sit on your face like a regular mask. Some people like to wash it off after 5-10 minutes, but I like to leave it on for an hour or more. After a while the glycolic acid is neutralized anyway, so I leave it on so my face can soak up all those good green apple nutrients. In the morning I always see and feel a big difference. |

I see. It sounds like you give your face a big apple treat at night. Thank you! |

Manslayerliz, I am so glad you posted how long you leave it on for. I'm going to try that, because I tried it a few times for only about 15 minutes and really wasn't impressed. That would be wonderful if it really brightens me up! Thanks. |

I've been using the green apply peel (the one for sensitive skin). I love it (thanks manslayer! )and it definitely perks up my skin, although it seems if I've been out in the sun I get pretty red for a while.
I'll have to try leaving it on a little longer. Do you use it more than once a week? |

Yes, absolutely try doing it some night when you have nothing to do but sit around reading EDS ( ) and see if you can leave it on for at least an hour or so--- it makes a big difference for me. As for how many times a week I do it, I do it AT LEAST once a week, sometimes 2 if I can find the time. HTH! (Oh, and you're very welcome, Cecelia! ) |
