Hi, I have a strange question. For those of u that are on the Evening Primrose Oil, did any of u experience any missing or irregular period? I've been taking EPO for a month and my period is missing for more than a week! I wonder if this is related or not? Thanks! |

I've been taking Evening Primrose Oil but there weren't any missing or irregular periods. Do you take it everyday? I was told by my Naturopathic Doctor to only take it during the week before and the week of my period. During the rest of the month, I take Cod Liver Oil. |

My skin is extremely dry in winter. I take Evening Primrose Oil and Cod Liver Oil, no problem at all. |

hhm...I used to take 1000mg of EPO everyday and my period is regular. But recently, I've been taking 2000mg a day and since then, my period is missing. I'm not sure whether this is related or not. |

I was recommended to use it in the week before a period to help with restless sleep...
I took 2000mg a day (I think) and the resulting period was the singularly most excruciating and heavy I have had in my life (and trust me, at 40 I know the varying degrees of menstral suffering as I have been having excruciating period problems since the age of 13).
I later read that EP can indeed cause excessive bleeding (I think I wrote about thsi in another post) so I stopped and never even tried a smaller dosage the next month. But I have never heard of it preventing a period coming.
Are you under a lot of stress at the moment? been sick with a flu or anything? THat will always make me a bit late... |

Second tiger timn on the stress and the illness. Neither will make your period late in itself, but could delay ovulation which then has the effect of making your period late. |
