Hello:
I am breaking out in awful cystic pimples...
I am desperate!!!
Can anyone reccomend a facialist in Vancouver who can help?
Someone who specializes in cystic acne or hormonally driven pimples....
I would really appreciate it!

teatea, I don't know your acne type, but have your tried obagi?

I know a friend who always has acne on his face, he finally went to a dermatologist and has good result. I know it costs quite a bit, but if you are desperate and had tried all kinds of skincare, I think you should go to see a dermatologist.

Hi teatea:

I really understand your pain because I'm in my 30s and still have acne breakouts. I went to see dermatologists in my 20s and I totally regretted my decision because the prescriptions they gave me only thinned out my skin and made it sensitive. My dermatologist proposed birth control pills and Accutane as the next meds. for me to go on. That's when I put a stop to all forms of medical treatment!

I found relieve in using Decleor's products for oily/combination skin. Yes, I still get hormonal breakouts but they are no longer cystic. However, it took 6 months for usage before I had any good results. It was my mother and friends who told me that they noticed a difference in my skin! So, now, I have become an unofficial advocate for Decleor products before they did wonders to my skin. Perhaps, you might want to visit the Decleor counter in downtown Vancouver's Sears or Bay store and get some skincare product recommendations, try them for 6 months and see whether you get any results! If not, you might want to see a dermatologist. I won't recommend mine because they were lousy! Just be careful whether you seek a medical dermatologist or a cosmetic one because their motives are different. When I went to see a cosmetic one, all she cared for was $$$$!
