I have a Mineral Veil (a little less than half remaining ) a foundation in Fairly Light 1.2 (3/4 remaining) and a Bisque multi-tasking minerals with 6/8th remaining that I don't want anymore (I use Everday Minerals now).

I'm willing to ship this to someone free...no cost.
I just hate to throw them out, what a waste!

So if anyone wants them, PM me. I'll get them to you sometime next week when I'm on campus and can mail them.

Lemme know!
xoxo
Paris

Oooohhhh.... we should make a thread for trading/giving stuff away, if it's ok with Mabsy. I have unopened Obagi products that I'm never going to use and would rather give away than throw out.

Sushi, that is a GREAT idea! We'd have product flying back and forth all over the globe!

It really is a great idea to have a trading forum. I recently moved due to a long and messy divorce and have a ton of stuff (including samples I hate to throw away but know they're not appropriate for my skin type) that I need to get rid of. It would be great to be able to trade.

I asked Mabsy about it....we'll see what she thinks. I thought there might be some issues if someone wanted to sell something instead of trade...but if they just post what they have and work out the details over PM, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah...I don't think we should sell anything, because then what's the difference between me, say, selling something from my cabinet versus someone trying to push their skincare product? It might be too much of a grey area. But if we stick to solely swapping, no money involved (like MUA), or just giving stuff away, that might be okay.

I know that "ratings" for people have come up as an issue before, how would swaps/trades be tracked, how would "bad swappers" be avoided, etc.

But overall I think it'd be great, as long as it doesn't become the focus of the forum, IMO.

I'm getting together a christmas/ birthday box of goodies for a friend of mine who's a single mum, who ADORES skin care and make up, but has a real cash shortage for her personal use. It's her birthday the day before christmas eve.

If anyone in the UK has anything they dont need / want any more, that they'd like to add, that'd be fun.

I think a swap shop is a great idea, too - I was thinking that earlier when I read the 'eyelash' mega thread, and saw several people had tried Jan Marini and not got on well with it. I dont know if that would be a suitable swap type item.

EDS' position on facilitating trading of items has been so far to direct people to MUA, where the facility exists to leave feedback. The main concern is what happens when "transactions" don't go as planned and one person does not keep their end of the deal. EDS currently has no facility to keep track of such feedback unfortunately.

I've been using Bare Mineral Foundation for over 3 years and it's great. It looks natural on your skin and cover without looking like having a mask on. Hope this answer helps.

I bought Bare escentuals a few years ago- just the eye glimmers- that I absolutely love. Just recently I bought the kit that Sephora has on for $60US its got the foundations, brushes, skin vitamins, warmth, and mineral veil. Well- I don't like the foundations at all- I have golden tanned/olive skin and the foundation looked like I just dusted baby powder on my face- and it is the right shade for my skin. What I do love is the mineral veil- it keeps my skin from getting greasy/shiny, the warmth- is a good bronzer, and the brushes are great- so in the end it was worth it to buy the kit- only the foundations sucked.

i really love the way BE looks...much better than the foundation i used to use (MAC Studio Fix). I find that it goes on very light and has alot better coverage.

BE was introduced to me by an online khaki. she is a real angel, make samples of the colors for me to try. i simply just adore it, especially [Blue Azreal].

now i m thinking either Alima or BE's foundation. anyone who have tried both? any review or comparison?
