Hi!
On the main page of http://www.iceelements.com/ on the upper right side is a big Gold bow and a Holiday Try Me Kit Special, while supplies last.
You would need to register for their message board to enter your User ID for the special which is:
1 oz cleanser
1 oz toner
1 oz moisture lotion
1/2 oz Anti- Aging serum
All in your choice of normal to oily or normal to dry for $6.95 each - $18 off the regular price.
You may order up to 5.
Originally this kit had the 1/4 oz of the 2 minute miracle in place of the 1/2 oz of the anti-aging serum but Frankie upgraded it. It is a serious upgrade as the 1/2 oz is half the regular size of the AA serum which I have never seen below $29.95 for the 1 oz size... so if you ordered 2 kits you would be getting the AA serum for less than $14, plus you get all the other stuff too!
If you have been thinking about trying this line, now is the time!
Plus, if you have never tried the 2 minute miracle you can also add the free samples of that to your cart as well!
I know that I went in for my 5.
I want to add that those with really sensitive skin should probably skip the toner as it contains botanicals. I do have the toner and use it once in a while as a body spray but I do not use it on my face. I also do not have my son use it as I do not want it to aggrivate his acne.
Take care.

When I realized that there was the 1/2 oz of the serum I ordered 5 kits...meaning I'm keeping the serum and some friends will get some of the cleansers and toners as stocking stuffers. |

Rufus,
You and I think alike!
Isn't having 1/2 oz of the AA serum in that kit just CRAZY?
It is like a Black Friday special.
Take care.

Don't you just love that practical Frankie??
The last few weeks I've ordered a few things like
Souffle (2nd bottle)
Radience cleanser kit with illumineyes serum
Edelweiss serum
Acne serum
2nd bottle of AA serum
5 of the Christmas special (this way I get to try the n/d moisturizer for the winter dry months)
So far I have the kit with the AA serum and moisturizer n/o and blueberry mask. (love the serum and moisturizer and will have to use the mask a few more times to make up my mind)
some samples of the 2mm (I've tried it once and used too much)
and the Souffle which compares favorably with the Dermalogica Skin renewal booster. |

Oh, I know, Frankie is awesome!
Wow! It sounds like you are all set!
It took me a bit to decide if I liked the blueberry mask too. It smells soooo good but I wasn't sure how good it was for me... but I really like it. It feels good and it seems to brighten my skin plus it has the anti-oxidants.
Have you tried the toner yet? That is probably the only product that they have that I really don't use. I did use it during the summer as a body spray and it felt pretty refreshing but that's about it.
Take care.

I noticed that kit too. Does anyone know how much they charge for shipping to Canada? |

I got the 5 kits and the standard UPS shipping charge in US funds was $14.65 |

No, I haven't tried their toner. I always end up rinsing the toner off my skin anyhow. I do have a spritzer bottle so I can use it as a body spray too. |

Bosoxy - I am struggling with all the serum choices out there and wonder how MANY you can apply to your face without it all becoming redundant!!! I really need a good AA and Vit-C or CE&Ferulic Serum, but feel overwhelmed with all the choices and price-points (so many of them are SOOO expensive). I'm do believe you, "get what you pay for" in many cases. But am also aware of the marketing strategy of inflating a product's price to imply you are buying a 'quality' item. I really like the ingredients of IE's Anti-aging Serum and thanks to the Xmas special do not feel like I am being robbed if it turns out that this is not the serum for me. What other AA serums have you tried that you could compare the IE product to? |

Envy your guys in North American. It's such a great deal. Unfortunately as I'm based in London, and Ice elements only has UPS options, the delivery is costing 75 USD .... Have to pass the great deal.... |

Scots,
I really cannot compair the AA serum to any other serum as it is different... It has kind of a slip to it so it spreads very easily and sinks right into the skin. Since it has no water I use very little. An ounce lasts me about 6 weeks using it twice per day, but now I am using the Edelweiss in the evening so the AA will last longer...
I can tell you that the AA serum is quite hydrating and that it has the scent of tea tree oil, but not incredibly strong.
I think that the studies on the Antarcticine may interest you as the AA serum has the most Antarcticine of any of the products in her line with 10%.
The following are a couple of comments by Shelly on her forum:

All I can offer you is my position on why I use the ingredients I do. There are many choices available to all formulators and I really try to narrow down the ones that A- have in vitro studies to accompany the published findings, B- look to be a natural way to acheive the same end result as a synthetic version, and C- that effect change in and on the skin over time.
There are 13 layers of collagen which are responsible for age related changes in our skin and bodies. Collagen is a protein and is composed of amino acids. The ALoe we use is made up of 20 out of 23 amino acids our bodies use daily. Antarcticine is a natural protein and is also made up of amino acids. Collagen 1 is most abundant as we age but if and when it breaks down, will be the fastest way to see visible signs of aging on the skin. It is easy to stimulate, however. Collagen 4 and 3 all become collagen 1 eventually. Collagen 4 is the most important collagen for regulating cell growth and plays an important role in wound healing. In repairing skin and stimulating collagen, you are in essence trying to simulate a wound healing effect so that additional collagen is produced and healthier, rounder, plumper cells rise to the surface.
Antarcticine stimulates a collagen level naturally that is otherwise hard to reach. I have not seen any natural ingredients yet marketed to stimulate collagen 3. Every collagen 3 stimulator, specifically made to stimulate 3, also contains synthetic peptides. I have chosen not to use these until more research is done long term. Therefore, I feel like the quality of aloe vera we use (Hydrapol by Carrington labs) combined with Antarcticine, give me all of the benefits of addressing collagen 1-4 without any risk or downside.
I hope this makes sense. As I said, this is strictly why I have chosen the ingredients I have and may not be the views of other companies who do use peptide technology.
Take care and thank you for asking such brain teasers
Shelly
Horris,
Is shipping from the US to London usually so high? If not, you could PM or message Frankie in the Ask Frankie forum and ask if there is another shipping method that could be used.
Unfortunately overseas shipping is usually very high... however I have known Frankie to ship another method when asked, but I cannot say that it would be much of a price break as I am unfamiliar with shipping to London.
Take care.

Thanks so much Bosoxy! Ice Elements is new to me and immediately reminded me of the Alloette line with a twist. I have gone to the IE website and did join the forum, but I have not had time to read through the vast number of discussions regarding their products yet. I am intrigued from the little I've learned though, and feel I can't go all that wrong by trying the Christmas special as it's such a great price! |

You are most welcome, Scots!
I am glad to help, and you are right at that price you just cannot go wrong! It will give you a chance to try a handfull of their products so that you can determine if these products work well for your skin.
Take care
