I just signed up w/ this site...caught it in a google search for Alima reviews. Just wanted to give my 2cents.
Alima is a very, very good mineral makeup but for best results use the preferred alima mineral brush. What a HUGE difference in application. An always start very light then build. I hear lots of people saying that it makes your pores look larger. Only happened to me when i rush and do not start light then build. Also lip balms recently sampled and finally liked are WINE and CURRANT. These both gave good color and moisturized well. these are balms so stay power is minimal. Wink

I just received a Alima nourishing lipbalm in Carnation. I am excited about trying it soon.

I spritz my face with Evian spray after application, makes it look perfect, not drying at all. I love it! I don't think I could live without my Alima!

I use MAC's 182 big buffer brush. It is very dense yet soft, and distributes the powder evenly. I second the spritzing to set the powder. The finish is gorgeous!

I use Bobbi Brown kabuki brush to apply foundation. It gives a very nice even coverage. I then spritz my face with Evian spray. I still haven't figured out the eyeshadow application. I've tried it with Alima, Bobbi Brown, MAC, and A'Squirrel brushes, but the eyeshadows never seem to stay on my eye lids. I've also tried it with different eyeshadow primers. Can someone give advice? TIA! Smile

Third on the spritzing. I use an empty PSF O2 serum bottle and just fill it with distilled H20. Its a wonderful makeup trick!

I have thought about trying Skindinavia's Lok Finishing Spray because it sounds so interesting but I'm sure the water technique probably works just as well. My sister uses their spray moisturizer to set her Young Blood MMU and loves it (she has really dry skin).

I guess I should actually give an Alima tip Smile: Using plain silk powder on top of my Alima foundation gives me a perfect finish and keeps the makeup from getting patchy and weird once my oilies starts to break through.
