hi, im new!
i have a red/pink scar on my face from acne and would luv your opinions on what treatments would be best to remove the redness. The scars about 3 months old, its quite flat tho so im grateful for that. It can be covered up a little with makeup but when Im hot and bothered the makeup comes off to reveal this damn scar! A friend recommended the decleor skin whitening night and day cream - anyone tried these??? im just using a little moisturiser just now but i really really want to get rid of the redness, im a student and I would love to not have to get up every morning worrying about how red this scar is - or stay at my boyfriends without hiding in the bathroom in the morn for half an hr until i look ok
please give me some recommendations esp people who have tried decleor or anything that works!
thanks!!! |

Hi Dollymixture, if you need to fade acne blemishes, try Godiva Licorice Cream and Godiva Fruit Acid Complex. These creams will fade your acne problems within about 2 weeks. I do not know of any other treatments that work faster. |

The Neostrata 10% peel will help lighten the scar. If you still have acne they have an acne peel kit too. If you are just looking for a moisturizer to lighten it, I've heard really great things about the Sheisido White Lucent day and night creams. Sorry, I just know more about department and drug store lines! |

Hi,
I've had great success using Bioderm's Silicone patch on the scars from surgery I had during the early summer. I'm not sure how practical it would be for daytime use, as you need to put a little paper tape over them, but surely you could where them at home and during the night. I found them on a website for plastic surgery and recovery called Make Me Heal. Don't know how bad your scar is, but I would definately use them on any scar that stressed me out. I don't see why you couldn't use them in conjunction with a peel to get even better results.
Cheers,
Mary |
