Has anyone else tried this stuff? I started using it about a week ago, taking the recommended dose twice per day, which is supposed to be the equivalent of 30 cups of green tea.

I bought the “original” flavour which I quite like the taste of and I drink a ton of water so it’s no problem taking it. It also comes in pomegranate and lemon flavours which I haven’t tried.

Although I “think” I like it, I do wonder with supplements when taking large amounts (ie 30 cups green tea equivalent) whether it can interfere with absorption of other nutrients? I understand some vitamins/minerals can have this effect in large doses. Any thoughts on this?

Ingredients are: green tea extract, white tea extract, lo han extract, lotus extract, grape seed extract, water, vegetable glycerin & lemon flavour.

These water supplements are overpriced and a waste of money in my opinion. The only positive side to them is the taste, because they're not that convenient either.

You could just take green tea extract pills and get like 100x a cup of green tea :P Or you could just drink green tea, more is almost never better when it comes to biology.

I did get sucked into buying this...but here is why:
I am a flight attendant and I am forever worried about free radicals, and whatever else is in my job environment that will likely age me faster. (Been doing this 12 yrs, and the crow's feet i get at the end of a flight are making me want to change careers!)
Basically, with layovers here, there and everywhere, I often forget to take multivitamins, and get tired of swallowing all the pills i take to take to stay healthy. I bought the Dr Brandt drops because a liquid seemed more appealing to me than adding another pill (such as green tea extract) to my pill-popping regimen. Also, taking the drops during a flight actually makes me remember to drink water which is another benefit.

It is pricey though, and I understand the concern of over-doing it. I have resorted to half a dropper in my water, so the equivalent of, say, 15 cups of tea instead of a whopping 30.

I will search for green tea extract in a liquid form instead of repurchasing these drops. I do like the taste of the pommagranate (sp?) one though.

HTH

I have mixed feelings about products like these because, on the one hand, they're ridiculously expensive, but on the other hand, they can be really convenient (and therefore helpful because they actually get used). I'm not good at remembering to take supplements. I'm better at getting enough water during the day, but I can't always make a cup of tea (I have a 2-year-old. "Nuf said.)

If it's working for you, then keep it up. If it's not, then don't!
