I am currently using ISC Active Serum to clean out my congested pores (it has BHA) and it's doing an amazing job, most of the time. There are still a few stubborn places that are reactive. Should I add DHCC to my routine? My routine consists of cleansing with spectro gel and Dermalogica pre-cleanse(only when I wear makeup), followed by active serum at night or a moisturizer/sunscreen during the day. Just wondering if DHCC will be helpful or redundent. TIA! |

i'd actually recommend getting a sample of Epidermx.... i've found that the Active (actually *all* my products) are working much better now that i'm exfoliating lightly but regularly. i used to use DHCC and it never had the same effect (though everybody's different). |

I was advised not to use the DRHCC or a toner if I was using the Active (by Katee if I remember correctly) and to not overexfoliate the skin as the Active is a very strong product. I was using both at the time and found I now need neither and it simplifies my rountine, especially since I now use the Clarisonic. |

i think it depends on your skin. Active alone is not strong enough for me -- i need to use Eluage on top. but i have really tough hide. besides, the Clarisonic *does* work as an exfoliator. you can gently use DHCC so that it really isn't any harsher.
the answer to the question is to try it and see, poofybabypenguin. you'll be the best judge of whether it works or not for your skin. maybe just concentrate on the areas that are giving you trouble and start out using it every couple of days rather than jump in whole hog, er, penguin |
