I read that some people get dry eyes from using revitalash, and some also get discoloration on their eyelids.

I've been looking for awhile on other products for lash growth. From what I read the NEW Revitalsh (2008 and after) is not working as it does not have the secret ingredient which is the drug bimatoprost. Allergen, maker and license holder of Lumigan (which is name brand of bimatoprost) starting suing anyone who used their drug in lash product so they were all forced to take it out. Well THAT is what was working and it worked on everyone. Now they all have products that are called lash "conditioners" and work for some but most are not receptive to it. But they STILL charge an arm and a leg for it. $120 to $150.

Now this drug was intended for Glaucoma and there are patients out there who still use the drug in eye dropper form, this Lumigan. Well the Lumigan is about $40 a bottle for 3ml and the SAME damn thing is also sold by Allergan as a "lash growth" product but because it is called that and in a different package that comes with these special applicators they charge $120 for it! Plus it is also now required that you obtain a Rx to get it.

Now you can search the internet and buy Lumigan in other countries with pharmacies that do not require a Rx and it is cheaper,$13 a 3ml bottle BUT you pay $24 for shipping.

alldaychemist.com seems to be the most cost efficient way to get this and they are a repuatable company, at least on EDS!

There is also a new product for lashes called Rapidlash and they call it a "Eyelash Renewal Serum" which has rave reviews on the net so far. Only released late 2008.

The main active ingredient in the formulation is Isopropyl Cloprostenate,is not a drug but it has been isolated from the prostaglandin family using biotechnology. Very similar to a prostaglandin. So that is their magic ingredient. They also use peptides with vitamins and this unique combo I guess is really making it work.

I've used it for 3 weeks and I have growth, significant growth. This only costs $49 and you can get it on ebay for $34.99. I'm gonna stay with this I think.

But that is all the info I have about what works, what is legal and what is a rip off.

Hope that helps.

PS. I have a thread on Rapid Lash and will post my pictures next week. Before and afters.

I have been using this product for about six months now and yes it most defintely works! BUT, if you stop using it, your lashes will go back to normal in 2-8 months....those are the facts. Also it causes you to have redness, a sort of brown line and can cause eye darkening. I have had all of these side effects as well as itching. These are the EXACT same side effects as the prescription version of this (lastisse) so after using it for so long I can confidently say that it has the same active ingredient. My lashes have grown a lot but I don't know how much longer I will use this. I am concerned about the long term effect.
