HI everyone, Am new here.

Am almost 20 and suffering from acne for few months. They started with tiny whiteheads on my left cheek in summer(at begining, they were unnoticeable, few people would notice even I didnt wear makeup)

About 2 months ago,I couldnt bear these whiteheads and decided to pick them up by myself..(I did realize how silly i was now!! Sad ) They then became "enormous" pustules/inflamed/red acne......

Some of them ended with a dark-brown scar....(before I had few spots and their scars were pink and disappered quickly)BUT it seems that these scar will be there FOREVER as they are SO OBVIOUS!! (they even cant be covered by foundation.......)

I bought a small kit from MUARD and started using them 5 days ago. Its seems help. However, when I apply Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and Acne Spot Treatment on my burn/open skin, it was painful. I think that might because they contain 1%salicylic acid and 3%sulfur, respectively. Therefore, should I stop using them?
(my skin didnt feel painful when i using Clarifying Cleanser which contains 1.5%Salicylic Acid and on the description of Acne Spot Treatment it does say "Zinc oxide soothes and reduces inflammation.")

On the other hand, any recommended products to remove my acne scar???
(i cant show up my 20 birthday party like now Sad Sad Sad Sad )

Ive been reading a lot of articles about how to treat acne/choose acne products, etc.
and I selected the folowing products, could anyone help to check if they are suitable for me...

(sth about my skin:
my skin tpye is combination-oil -- oily t-zone and dry cheeks
i have comedones on my nose..........I wanna get rid of them and minimize the pores....
i started using makeup from this year(base/foundation/mascars/eye shadow, thats all)so i prefer to use hydrating products in the morning as after wearing makeup my cheeks always feel very dry
another thing which bother me these days is that i found my forehead's skin is a bit..."saggy"!!! not really wrinkle but.....)

my selected prodcuts:

For AM:

Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 3% Facial Wash (less concentrated/gentle)
or
Peter Thomas Roth Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash

Peter Thomas Roth Conditioning Tonic(help to reduce excess oils on my t-zone)

(Cellex-C Hydra 5 B-Complex)

Cellex-C Sea Silk Oil-Free Moisturizer(hydrate my cheeks before makeup)
or
Cellex-C Clear Complexion Seboregulator(for acne skin) which one seems better?

Peter Thomas Roth Ultra Lite Oil-Free Sunblock SPF 30

makeup~

For PM

(anyone recommed a good makeup remover plz?)

MD Formulations Facial Cleansing Gel for Oily and Very Oily Skin(it contains 12% Glycolic Compound -- too strong for me? other suggestions?)

Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid Clarifying Tonic
or
Peter Thomas Roth Conditioning Tonic

Cellex-C High Potency Serum(for my age, am i too early to use it? is it very rich?)

MD Formulations Glycare Lotion(this one contains 14% Glycolic Compound, need apply other hydrate skin care product afterwards -- again is it too strong?)
or
Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical Skin Brightening Gel Complex(is it helpful to remove my acne scar? anyone who uesd it plz comment....)

Weekly

Cellex-C BetaPlex Clear Complexion Mask(Oil-obsorbing)

Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel(on acne)

Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Masque
(MD Formulations Vit-A-Plus Clearing Complex Masque)

Peter Thomas Roth Botanical Buffing Beads

MD Formulations Vit-A-Plus Firming Treatment Masque
(MD Formulations Moisture Defense Antioxidant Treatment Masque)

I know its a long list, plz do comment and give me some suggest.......Thx in advance....

I think that you are overdoing it and overworking your skin. Your skin reacts because it is overstimulated.
I would recommend a cleanser, a toner and a medicated lotion for the pimples, AM and PM, and a mask and exfoliation once a week.

I agree with Linnie. I would recommend you to try zinc tablets/supplement it can help reducing acne. You should also check your diet.

I'm using msm 4g daily with 1.2g vitamin C and 15mg zinc. I noticed a huge reduction of my acne. HA tablets might be good too.

Sharon, I used Murad for 6 weeks and my skin was so red and inflammed. I do agree with the exfoliating gel and the acne gel burning your face (they did the same thing to me Sad ).

I think you should try either the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel or the Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel for the acne scars. As for treating the acne, I recommend Earth to Body products. www.earthtobody.ca They're all natural products too.

I also think you should cut right back down on your products. The more stuff you put on it the less it can balance itself, also if you over dry your skin it will break out more.

And drink lots of water and take the zinc. And try and only wear foundation sometimes not all day every day.

Out of your list, I only really know about the PTR stuff so if we have to choose from your list I would say the following (some substituted prouct though). Alternatively, perhaps make up a routine from the Juice Beauty range instead.

For AM:

Peter Thomas Roth Sensitive Skin wash (and then every two-three days alternate with the glycolic or BHA wash)
Peter Thomas Roth Conditioning Tonic
Peter Thomas Roth max sheer moisturiser with SPF30 (this one is less thick than the other one)

For PM
PTR Chamomile cleanser (will remove make up v well but does not leave a residue like the silky cream does)
Peter Thomas Roth Conditioning Tonic
Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical Skin Brightening Gel Complex (will help scarring, make sure to let dry before next step)
PTR hydrating lotion (the only thing is this also has glycolic in it so maybe you can try one of their new serums which dont contain glycolic as a night moisturiser)

Weekly
Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Masque
Peter Thomas Roth Botanical Buffing Beads

Hope this helps.

Do you have access to the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel? That's a good peel for acne scars and refining your skin texture.

For the Earth to Body products, I highly recommend the Clay-Neem Treatment. It comes in a powder and I make the paste for the mask with tea tree oil and water. You could also use essential oils. This mask deep cleanses the skin and helps the acne to heal faster. I also love the Emu-Neem soap and the toner too.

Thx, daisylondon, this is very helpful!!! Surprised

I actually didnt use any makeup(maybe sometimes mascara)until this summer, I had some working experience......

i go to bed very late every day and these days i have lots of stress from study and interviews(i heard people said these might cause acne)I ended with a gray-faced and then i started using tinted moisturizer(oil free) to show a better complexion during the day time in school...of cos i remove them as soon as i go back home.....

last week i found out the make up remover i use contains lots of comedogenic ingredient!!!!!! Mad Mad Mad (i checked its ingredient table)luckily, it didnt leave on my face for a long time usually~

these days, i cant go out without foundation........even though, some tough acne/dark scar still cant be covered.......lol

you suggested to use max sheer moisturiser with SPF30 but my t-tone and forehead is quite oily, then if i use this one after hours, will i look "shiny-shiny"??? and should i apply any lotion before the sunscreen?

I suggested this as I used to use the one you initially suggested (I also used to use the SPF25 one) but switched to the max sheer after my facialist tried it and recommended it to me. It is lighter and therefore less likely to clog up pores (though Im not sure the others would anyway) If you're using it, you can of course as with any moisturiser avoid any oily areas, especially if it's after hours and you don't need the sunscreen. It is a moisturiser with sunscreen (as opposed to a standalone sunscreen)so you don't need any lotion before.

I second the zinc tablets, in addition to a vitamin b-complex and omega 3-6-9 capsules. Might take a few weeks to alleviate the severity of acne, but it certainly helps. I think you're on the right track with BHA/AHA products. I can't speak for PTR but I've been using IS Clinical Active Serum nightly (a combo of BHA/AHA) and it controls my hormonal cystic acne VERY WELL, and also helps fade acne scars quick as it promotes cell turnover.

The Glycolic Acid wash contains GA which is an AHA and the BHA wash is a BHA.
I'd imagine if you went on a routine like the one you are thinking of, that would help a lot with your nose area.
Right now for you I wouldn't be bothered about the collagen.
You can get zinc anywhere - don't get the own label Tesco stuff though, the brands Now from the US (white plastic bottle with an orange label) and Solgar which is an old English company (brown with gold labels) which are both good quality brands should do them and you should be able to get either at Holland and Barrett or preferably your local health food shop.

Alternatively here is a link to a zinc supplement from the same place as I get my power magnesium from but I'll warn you now that it will be super power stuff and it's not cheap.

I'm not sure about collagen capsules for acne..never tried them. Yes, zinc is easily found in any drugstore shelf with dietary supplements, i don't see why you would be asked for ID buying zinc tablets.
