Is it best to use mmu brushes with mmu? For example, when I get home from my hols I want to order some full size MMU (probably EDM but want to try a few others first). Is it best to use mmu brushes with mmu, or can 'normal' ones be used too? Also, can mmu brushes be used with non-mmu? Help! |

I think for best results, a small concealer type brush is used for things that need extra coverage and a dense kabuki-like brush is used allover since the "buffing" movement is important for a natural finish. |

I'm a huge fan of MMU but have always had a problem with the real hair brushes. I find them messy to use plus they tend to shed. So recently I purchased a synthetic foundation brush made by Benefit and I really love it. It gives a much better coverage when using MMU plus it can be used with liquid foundation as well. |

I like a dense kabuki for foundation and large dome powder brush for finnishing powder. I like a fiber optic brush for mmu blush or bronzer, it applies a light amt. For eyes I use both natural hair and synthetic brushes. I guess the only one that is made specifically for mmu application would be the kabuki and maybe the fiber optic brushes. HTH. |

I agree with dealated. A small taklon concealer brush and a kabuki are must haves for a great mineral makeup application. |

I feel that the better the brushes, the better your makeup will look. It also help your cosmetics go on with ease and you end up using less too. |

I use an eye shadow contour brush for applying my MMU over spots to conceal them. I also like the taklon brush for this. I use a kabuki for finishing powder and a powder brush for applying loose mineral powder. I prefer natural hair, but that's probably because I haven't found a good synthetic brush for the jobs. |
