Okay I don't know for some reason I suddenly need another brush... Rolling Eyes

Most of my makeup brushes are BB, so I was thinking maybe I should get the BB powder brush. Then I thought, well why not the BB kabuki, since it comes with its own little carrying case and I can take it everywhere I go. And then I had to read about Alima's #25 brush.

So what do you gals think? I will be using the brush for loose powder, mmu and silk dust mainly.

Thanks! (Did I tell you I y'all to bits Wink )

I really like my Clinique powder brush. It's really soft and has a cool, clear plastic handle. I was tempted to buy other brushes in their line, but I already have an assortment of MAC and other odd and end brushes ... so I don't really NEED others. However, I do really want them! Very Happy

For a natural bristle brush, I'd go with Jane Iredale. For a synthetic one, Alima has great ones. HTH

Another vote for JI. The Urban Decay Good Karma brushes are also very soft.

ALIMA!!!!

Seriously, I've had my hands on a billion different make up brushes, and this one is the best. The silkiest, the softest, the most luxurious, you name it! It's soooo much better than the famous (and much more expensive) JI Handi--- our own carekate used to swear by her Handi, but after she tried the Alima she said she gave the Handi to her kitty for a kitty toy.^-^

I also agree with tam that Urban Decay's Good Karma brushes are quite nice--- they are definitely a close second to Alima, IMO.

surprised to see nobody recommended MAC or BB.. I am thinking to buy from them. I also heard Anna Sui has a great/cute powder brush. Smile

I will watch this post to make my decision. Thank you~

I LOVE my Jane Iredale brushes. I started my collection a few months ago and they are soooooooooooooooooo soft. Don't know how or why I went this long without them. My favourite so far is the Handi brush but their new Kabuki brush looks so fluffy and luxurious. Ahhhhhhhh Wink

One vote for MAC's kabuki. I wanted to get the BB one at first (due to the carrying case) but after reading reviews on MUA, some people found that the BB one shed so I end up getting MAC's and I LOVE it. It's probably the softest brush I own. I also recently bought a JI Handi and I think MAC is softer and denser, perfect for MMU.

I went to BB, Shu Uemura and MAC last night and none of them really impress me enough to make me want them badly (although I was leaning more towards BB but that's because I'm biased - I already own and love BB brushes so far). Alima sounds like a winner, but I have to wait til January for a discount.

Well I still have til January to decide. Any more recs?

Just wanted y'all know I bought both the BB kabuki and Alima #25!

Though I really like Alima for my minerals (also got their #21), for loose powder and silk dust I prefer BB because it's dome shaped and not as dense.

Thanks everyone for your recs. Smile

I also own both BB kabuki and Alima #25. I prefer Alima for MMU foundation, but find I can't buff with it. When I need more coverage I opt for BB kabuki. I have to say I prefer BB for carrying around with me as it comes with its own case.

While Alima brushes are nice, there aren't many types available. I also don't really like their short handles and their unusually flat eyeshadow brushes. Now that said, I own all of them except their buff brush Very Happy
