Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for my crepey skin on my forehead. I have just ordered some ALPHA DERMA CE to help with the tone. I am 29 years old and am currently doing the GLYCOLIC thing for my mild acne (it's really cleared it up and left my skin very smooth and soft). However it has not helped above my brow line. I am also starting N-LITE LASER treatment in the new year which I am very excited about.
I am going to get a TUA VISO also to help lift the brow and tighten the skin. (It's a real toss up between the nuface and tua viso, but I figure the tua viso is a little more gentle as it does not drag the skin. Also, I don't like the idea of gooey gel stuff with nuface, I think this would aggrevate spots.) Generally I have lovely skin with not a crease around my eyes nose or mouth. It's just my ruddy forehead losing tone!!
IF ANYBODY HAS ANYMORE SUGGESTIONS I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL. (I AM ALSO GOING TO START ANOTHER POST ON MIRACLE FACEMASKS FOR REGULAR FLYERS) . |

I'm not sure if all that is going to help. It sounds like you are doing too much too fast. If you want to do the laser than you might want to ease up on the glycolic. Sometimes, our skin reacts to too many products. |

Sometimes the skin can look crepey because the active products are drying it out too much - you could try supplementing your glycolic routine with a light oil-free moisturiser (HA serum would be nice and shouldn't aggravate any remaining acne spots) to see if that would help. |

Since you are doing laser treatments, I would suggest easing up on the glycolics -- sounds like too much for your skin to handle. |

It sounds like you overdried your forehead.
I would suggest Emu Oil (or a combination of Emu + jojoba + hazelnut) to help with the healing. You have to try and see if your skin tolerates it well.
You may be overusing the glycolic.
What was recommended to me to help with breakouts - Salicilic Acid (Exfol by Skin Bio bought from Diane Yvonne) daily, it is not overdrying; plus 5% Salicilyc Solution (on the spots) or 2% solutiuon at first, Mandelic Acid every few days; CP serum and Emu Oil.
HTH,
Lucy. |

i just bought La Roche Posay Effaclar K Acne Treatment Fluid, my forehead had suffered serious acnes and left lots of marks there, i heard this fluid can even tone the skin withoug drying out too much. i only tried it for one night, and i liked it. two of my existing blemishes shrinked a little bit. |

I'm sorry, but what does crepey mean? |

I am just going to continue with glycolic and forget nlite. I have read some really bad stuff about nlite, not encouraging. The glycolic seems to be working, but it s quite drying.I have been using HA but it doesn't seem enough. Hope alpha derma will help a little. Instead of nlite I am going to try blue-light therapy as it is, apparently much more gentle. thanks for your help. |

Thanks katee...oy...I was told if I use too much or apply too often that is of the CP serum that this could be possible. |
