This serum is "for the relief of symptoms associated with rosacea and inflamed skin".
I have mild Rosacea and used this serum until I started IPL treatments. It has a light scent and is absorbed quickly. I found that it worked well when my redness was only slight. On days where I had more redness, it did reduce it, but not drastically. I think that it would be most beneficial for those who experience periodic redness, not full-blown Rosacea.
Ingredients: aqua, willow herb extract, vegetable glycerinm, licorice root extract, arnica extract, blue algae extract, gotu kola extract, azelaic acid, zinc, spin trap (PBN), folic acid, vitamin B-12, vitamin E (D-alpha tocopherol), white willow bark extract, chamomile extract, totarol, blue chamomile essential oil, xanthan gum, jasmine alcohol. |

Isn't vitamin b-12 also known as niacin? I know I can't use anything on my face with b-12 as it makes my skin flush, so does licorice for some reason. |

You're right, b-12 is niacin. And you know what, one of the possible side effects of taking niacin is flushing... seems strange that it is one of the ingredients. |

there are 'no flush' niacins on the market though, most health food stores carry them. |

There is something in this product that my skin doesn't like. I tried it once and it turned my face beet red! Stung, too. |

The ingredients sound nice and simple.. but I feel that a lot of "redness" products only help with irritation and flushing to a certain extent. I don't think I can ever get rid of my broken caps and redness with topicals alone.. |

i'm currently doing a course of IPL myself. its really helping pigmentation which is what i started doing it for. however they say it will help with redness as well, aso far i have seen no change. i'm interested in trying this product but can i ask you, do you have sensitive skin? i read a review further on the page and they said it stung their skin which happens to me if i use anything with for example menthol in it. |

My skin is not really sensitive. It seems to be able to tolerate a lot. It took me a few IPL treatments to really see a difference. Now, whenever I go for a maintenance treatment, the difference is amazing. Whatever redness I have is completely gone for about two weeks and then gradually comes back. It doesn't get as red anymore, and I can space my IPL treatments farther and farther apart. At this point, I get one every 5-6 months.
One more thing; when I use a vitamin C serum, it instantly reduces the redness. It only lasts for a few hours, but the effect is immediate. |
