Just been reading through the Obaji Posts and it seems very appealing - apart from the peeling!
Don't want to keep you too long as I know there are alot of posts on this already but there doesn't seem to be any derms in England that deal with this product, so I need your advice!
Firstly, am I suitable?
I'm 27.
olive skin.
mild sun damage on the forehead
fine frown line on forhead.
Prone to congestion.
visible pores
a few dark acne scars.
I've had loads of advice on other products (CPS, salycilic acid, glycolic) But nothing seems to make my skin better. It looks old and dehydrated.
On the Obaji website the say the C-Rx is good for mild to medium damage, has anybody tried this?
Also the TREtnoin. Could I get this from a normal doctor or does it have to be a derm?
I'm starting to get really disheartened with regards to my skin. I read so many positive posts on here, I wish something would work for me.
Thanks again guys, oh yeah and Merry Christmas! |

Merry christmas to you too, preenie! You can get tretinoin from any doctor, but the derm will probably be the most willing to give it to you. You can also order it cheap w/o a rx through online pharmacies. I can give you the adresses if you're interested. It sounds like this system would be great for you, i haven't used it myself so I can't be much help in that arena.. If you do try it, make sure to let us know how it goes! |

I would encourage you to find a doctor that is familiar with the Obagi system. It is strong stuff and you can easily do more harm than good. I severely damaged my own skin with Obagi and it will never be the same.
I know lots of people have had very good results from Obagi. I think it is smart to work with someone who knows the system and can fine-tune it for your particular situation instead of working unsupervised (like I did) and possibly damaging your skin. |
