Hi everyone,
I am hoping to get some adivse from some of you. I am looking to try a new skin care line, however, I am up between Dr. Renaud, Murad and Dr.H. I have comb skin. I am not worried about pricing I just want to purchase what will work best. Has anyone had any luck with any of these products? Any info you can pass my way would be great and any recommendations would be helpful as well. Thanks sooo much |

I tried Murad Acne Line earlier this year. It was a very horrible experience. I thought it was the purging but those breakouts just kept coming. My skin was so red and inflammed. I finally gave up after 6 weeks or so. |

I agree, the murad acne line is very harsh. There's even an acne pumice scrub . I think that the best and most basic thing you can do for acne is switch to a cleanser with a ph of 5-5.5 (to preserve and restore the skin's acid mantle), and hydrate your skin with tea tree oil (kills acne bacteria) diluted in a biological healing oil(heals and reduces inflammation) like emu oil, jojoba oil, or squalane. Switching from a harsh proactive routine to this saved my sister's acne prone skin. It wasn't enough for me however, I also needed to add retin-a at night. I use zeno abvout 1-2 times per month, and I use a beta-hydroxy product for the blackheads on my nose. My skin which was horrible is now completely clear. |

I've been using Dr. Renaud's products for almost 10 years now... i have mixed blemish/dry skin but the following products helped clear up my skin as well as help to keep it hydrated..
1. sensiderm milk and lotion - very gentle on my skin
2. serum c - great for rehydration and before applying makeup
3. radical defense day cream; non-scented and very moisturizing, but if it's too hot in the summer and I'm sweating a lot, then i use natigiene collagen gel day cream instead
4. sebopure intervention night cream (smells like medicine) but allows my skin to breathe
5. eye contour cream (night); very gentle and hydrating and non-irritating for my skin
6. multiactive eye contour tensor (day); may sometimes be too dry for winter
7. phytogel epidermal cleanser 1x/wk (especially great for cleansing after removal of makeup.. skin feels very clean)
the only product that i don't like as much (but is still adequate) is the day eye cream.. i find that it smells a little and is not as hydrating for my eyes... lately, it hasn't been a problem and it seems to work fine... i like the Sjal eye cream for it's hydrating effect but kinda too expensive for me right now.
ps. dr. renaud has a really great intervention line for blemished/problem skin. Check them out on EDS. |
