Nui, Koa, Ro and Paul
[edited to add] - Koa was sulking in all of the photos. I think HE wanted to wear the red/white collar. |

Merry Christmas to you, too, Ro! And to DH and the "puppies"! The picture is VERY cute, you look gorgeous and your DH is quite handsome. As squishy cuddly and cute as the dogs look, they don't appear to be too happy about the holiday outfits! So adorable!
Have a great New Year, too! |

Great picture! Hope you had a Merry Christmas, too! But aside from your dogs (size ) what I am really in awe of is how clean your carpeting looks! I have 4 dogs and together they don't equal the size of one of yours...and they destroyed the rugs so much we had to pull them up |

Thanks everyone!
Jala - the photo was taken in our living room - the one room the dogs are not usually allowed to go.
The other side of the fireplace is our family room. We had white berber there too and the boys were always tracking in dirt. We replaced it with Pergo (which matches other areas of the house). Pergo has been wonderful - indestructible and easy to clean.
other questions
Nui is 2.5 years old and weighed 220# May '06. Koa is 23 months and weighed 203# in May '06. Mastiffs are the largest/heaviest breed so they take a few years to fully develop and mature. We do show them so they're probably larger than pet mastiffs - but right now are adolescent-looking compared to mature 5 year old dogs.
We got them primarily for their temperament - they're loveable huge gentle giants. Nui will literally fall asleep as kids climb all over him.
They are NOT guard dogs - the boys are easily intimidated by aggressive small dogs and will snore through the door bell and visitors coming into the house |
