Okay, the basics:
I'm 32, my skin is dry and has always been, and in the past, I have had some trouble with dry patchy areas (esp. nose) and a few pimples on my chin. However, three months ago, I started using the MD Formulations Facial Cream under my regular cream, and my skin has become close to perfect! Even my boyfriend has noticed the difference.
The products I'm using:
Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (twice a week only)
Dermalogica Skin Smoothin Cream (Intensive Moisture Balance in the colder months)
Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture
MD Formulations Hydrating Eye Cream
Is this enough? I would like to take my precautions wrt. aging, yet I am not good enough at using sunscreen. I have one from MD Formulations (SPF 15), but rarely use it. I must mention that my skin is medium, not pale, and that I live in northern Europe, and not in a very sunny area.
Recommendations for additions? Comments? I am thinking seriously about the Cellcosmet eyecream, but need to convince myself because of the hefty price tag (and use up the MD-stuff) |

dear Nemi
the sheer tint moisturizer is with spf 15
this is good protection you don't need moore unles you are going on the beach
but what do you use at night ?
and also i think that daily microexfoliant is not enough
for exfoliation i like to use at list ones a week vegetable peel Phytomer.
in the evening during the summer time it will be good to try to use product with an AHA like dr.reanaul "hydrafine" or even skin smoothing cream from dermalogica because we need to keep the skin in good condition for the future too'''

The Facial Cream from MD Formulations has 14% glycolic acid, som I have been told that I should not use any other exfoliating products (except for the DM). In the evening, I use the MD-cream under Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance. |

Hi Nemi
It's great to hear that you have near perfect skin - ahhhhh - what we all strive for.....
However, I think that while you have a head start, it's good to invest in a good eye cream - because I find that it's the most tell tale area as we age. I have tried the MD eye cream but found it not nourishing enough for the fine lines. Besides being great for the lower eye lid, Cellcosmet can be applied on the upper lid. I started using my Cellcosmet eye cream since Nov 03 and am still using the same bottle, so it really last. If you take this into consideration, it's not so "painful" on the wallet. Take it as an investment - we are really only young once...we can save on the next sweater or next pair of shoes, but our skin condition can only go one way, it's only a matter of how long we hold it off. Enough said already, I think I sound like an old nag.......
You may also want to look at getting something anti-ageing - 32 is the right age to start to keep those dreaded lines at bay. Vitamin C serums may be something you can consider.

Hi, Jenny
Exactly what I thought as well; Cellcosmet plus Vitamin C. But I hope I can use up the MD eye cream before buying the Cellcosmet, my skin is not as dry in summer as in winter. |
