I don't wear eyeshadows because they irritate my eyes. I was thinking that perhaps trying mineral eyeshadow might help me and let me slowly find something I like.

Do you think that Bare Escentuals or Jane Iredale would be the better match for me, as far as quality, purity, etc.?

I don't think that you could go wrong with either one. They are both great lines. Bare Escentuals has many more colors to choose from, but both are less likely than regular eyeshadows to irritate your eyes.

I too have a very sensitive eye area and am prone to irritation quite easily. This past year I switched to Jane Iredale shadows and can't say enough about them. I absolutely love this line!! The colours are great, the ingredients fantastic and the wearability excellent. The colours last all day long and you never get that greasy eyelid look. JI shadows are absolutely the best I've ever tried and I highly recommend them. Make sure to check the review section as well to learn more about what others think. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed with the JI eyeshadows. They may seem a little pricey at first but they are well worth the money.

I have sensitive eyes and I wear contact lenses too. I tried Bare Escentuals, but I returned it soon after I purchased them. The mineral powder tend to get into my eyes. May be give it a try before you really buy it.

I would go for the JI as it's a solid and less likely to get loose powder in your eyes like the BE.

I have been using Laura Mercier's Creme Eye Color, it is easy to apply and stays long. I don't have to worry about the powder get into my eye either.

Thanks, but I am looking for mineral eyeshadow recs, and narrowed it down to BE or JI, since minerals are not irritating my skin or causing acne.

Second this! They are my HG, incredible staying power and lovely colors. I've tried BE as well, I didn't like them as much.
