Salli you must try Paula's Choice for minimizing of pores if you are prone to blackheads and pimples.
If you just want to maintain super nice skin and/or have some sun damage, use Paula's Choice AHA lotion. YOU WILL see a difference. |

Hi Salli,
Minimizing pores sounds like a single goal, but it really isn't. There are so many things that affect it.
First and foremost you have to ensure that the pores you want to minimize are thoroughly clean. That's the very first step in making them less noticeable. For deep down pore cleaning I've found OCM to be invaluable. [Do a search on OCM and you'll find many threads on the subject.]
Once those pores are scrupulously clean, then you can work on tightening. Be aware, however, that there is no way to actually reduce the size of your pores ...
My Pearl Paste recipe really tightens the skin and pores ... and depending upon how large your pores are, could make you look "poreless". You can find the recipe in this thread ...

If you're not very good with DIY Carekate makes a version of my original Pearl Paste recipe and you can order one from her if you PM her ... or I could always make you up a sample for you to try if you PM me.
I tried all manner of commercial stuff but my skin reacts badly to many of the additives in commercial products so I'm forced to make my own.
The beauty of my Pearl Paste lies in its simplicity ... there are very few ingredients in it ... just pearl powder, distilled water or hydrosol, aloe vera, Vitamin E, and a touch of glycerine or PG.
It's certainly the best pore minimizer that I've come across.

AHA's and BHA'S always helped my skin texture look better...even my pore size. Another thing that has helped is cp serum. |

i use a combination of
1. Mandelic acid product from Garden of Wisdom -- this product also has some lactic acid
2. Salicylic acid products -- 5% salicylic acid from Professional Solutions in summer and Exfol Serum from Skin Biology in winter
3. CareKate's aspirin mask -- a combination of lactic acid (from milk), glycolic acid (from sugar), and acetylsalicylic acid (from uncoated aspirin), plus the manual exfoliating effect you get from the sugar granules
I notice a difference if I stop any of these 3. |
