After going my whole life struggling to find decent blush colors for my PPP skin, in the last couple weeks I hit the blush lottery and found 2, count em, 2 blushes that not only look gorgeous on me, but very natural as well. One of these blushes is Bourjois's Lune D'Or, a neutral beigy-pink with gold shimmer. On my fair skin this is literally the perfect shade of blush, so if there are any other fair ladies out there who are struggling with blush, this could be the color for you! On the other hand, I think this would be the ideal all-over brightener for someone with a darker complexion. I also love the cute, travel-friendly container (complete with mirror!), and the price is very reasonable compared to other high-end blushes---- only $13.50 at Sephora. There's only one downside: the overwhelming baby powder/musk/perfumey smell!!! It's soooo strong, DH can smell it when I'm applying it. Who the heck is the marketing genius who thought up the idea of making a blush smell so darn strong??? Anyway, despite the strong smell I will definitely re-purchase, since the color is definitely HG for me. |

Thank you for the review.
I like Bourjois products.
I know what you mean about strong smelling products - unnecessary. |

I'm not one for strong smelling, perfumey things either (on my face anyway). I was wondering though, if the fragrance lingers, or is it strong just with the initial application? The color sounds so nice and the price is definitely right! |

sportygirl, I went ahead and wore this blush out tonight so I would be able to get a fresh impression and give you the most accurate answer. So, after I put it on this evening, I had two thoughts:
1) A thousand curses on the creators for making this blush so heavily fragranced, blech! Luckily, the fragrance fades quickly, so I can easily forget about it.
2) A million thanks to the creators for making such a gorgeous color! This blush makes my face look positively radiant!!! It really is the perfect natural flush.
HTH! |

souds great! I have been in a constant search for the blush for a long time. along the way i bought 6 different ones. However in the natural light they always look somewhat wrong. I got quite fair skin too.... thanks very much for the review... at this price certainly something worth trying |

Thanks Liz - I guess if the fragrance doesn't linger, I would be able to wear it! It sounds gorgeous!
And a thousand curses on all the companies who put too much fragrance in their products! |

I have this blush too. It's a great shade for the fair ladies. And if you're darker, it's also a nice highlighter or can be used to tone down or soften darker blushes. |

Is it true that Chanel makes Bourjois? |
