The land of grievances? When I was last in Avignon for a week there were two protests, a national transportation strike that stopped all the trains, and a protest against the government plan to raise the retirement age to 67. I don't blame them for protesting that one! |

(knew majorb would appreciate the story!) what i love about the story is this: whilst they *do* protest at the drop of a hat, but most of the causes are truly worthy. i just love the acknowledgement, though, that may be they go a wee bit too far sometimes. i've found the french sense of humour subtle but glorious. if they bring it to the Champs next year, i will definitely join in! |

funny...i used to date a scot (from kirkcudbrightshire), and my parents could never understand a word this poor guy said. I think the scot accent is one of the sexiest out there!
Scottish men are pretty darn sexy too....but so is my italian hubby!
