Many many years ago when I had my ears pierced by a Dr. he told me that it (piercing) might trigger a nickle allergy which in fact it did. To this day I can only wear expensive gold earrings and rings. I do wear what I call "fun watches" but I have to put clear nail polish on the metal that touches my arm. If I don't I will have a rash within 2 hours. I'm one of the unlucky ones I guess. |

Isn't this funny...I thought I was the only one with this problem. Had my ears pierced when I was 16, wore all kinds of weird junk in them, and never had a problem until decades later. The holes haven't closed, but for the past 7-8 years even using only 14k gold posts they get irritated, crusty, etc after 8 hrs of wear. So I don't bother any more unless it's a special occasion or something. |

You're very welcome, Pudoodles. I know how frustrating it was for me not being able to wear nice earrings. |
