| I'm not sure, Salli. I thought it was supposed to be clear, but it got to be white color at some point. Then it returned to the clear color again. Maybe it's affected by temp. I leave mine in the bathroom, but one time I took it to Vegas with me and forgot my bag with it inside the trunk. That's when it started to look creamy. Mine is about 2 years old, too. There's no expiration date on the bottle that I can find. |

| when i called LB processors, they said it lasts at least a year. Storing in the fridge helps prolong the expiry date |

I asked JCHill about this a little while back because he says he's done some research into bio oils and his reply was that it would smell rancid. Personally, I tend to throw it out when it stops feeling right. I find old bottles feel more 'oily' than 'fatty' and don't seem to absorb well.
Also it's original colour may not have been white. The processed oil appears whiter, but the original, unadulterated emu is yellow. Yellow doesn't mean it's gone off.
I have a new bottle and the expiry date is well into 2008 - whoopee! |
