One of those IS threads goes all the way back to 2005! I have a LOOOOOTTTTT of reading to do. LOL! I'll have to start tomorrow.
Can you give me a break down of the retail prices you are paying? And which products do you find to be must-haves?
My questions seem very simple to me. Are the answers complicated or black and white? |

Patty -- i'm not katee, but i can start you out.... as for retail prices, just look at EDS -- that's what we pay. that's what most salons charge as well. (luckily with EDS we get discounts to varying degrees and some buy samples on eBay.)
must-haves, IMO, are the Active (night use), Super Serum (for most everybody), Pro-Heal (for those that break out from Super), and Hydra-Cool. the Firming Complex which can be used over the Active at night for really tough-skinned gals or in lieu of the Active for those that are sensitive. the Cleanser is kind of harsh for daily use, IMO, but quite nice in the humid summer months or during break-outs (and possibly for younger skin).
of the other stuff, the Poly-Vit is for rest days (i don't like this actually, but i think some do). the Moisture Complex is okay, doesn't break me out, but doesn't wow me either. the Eye Cream isn't horrible, but doesn't do all that much. there's much better out there. and the C serum for the eye is a waste because we usually just use whichever C we're using on that area.... My must haves:
Active Serum (I think this is the most important component of the ISC regimen)
Firming Complex (based on Marina's innovation, I apply it over the Active and love it)
Super Serum (this is the step in the regimen that varies - there are other serums that replace Super Serum depending on one's skin, but I've never used anything but Super Serum)
Hydra Cool - I'll never like the feel of Hydra Cool, and at various points I've thought I could replace it with something else. Bottom line: anytime I've tried to dump it, I've seen the difference in my skin within days, so for me it remains a must have.
As for the cleanser and Eye Firming Complex - I've never used the cleanser so I can't say. The Eye Firming Complex is nice enough, but pretty unremarkable. I didn't repurchase it after using it once.
As for price, I don't pay retail, but the EDS prices are representative. Everyone seems to charge the same for the line. |

Katee - it is no secret that you are ridiculously gorgeous. Were you using these products when your posted pics were taken? If
not, what were you using then? How has the IS Clinical improved your skin?
Thanks,

I feel so special! It was actually a case of mistaking the jar...I thought it was the moisturizer I was applying not the firming cream. But hey, many great discoveries happen by accident.. |

Hi Katee, out of curiosity, do you get your IS Clinical from your dermatologist? Or from Ebay? I've noticed that there are quite a few Ebay sellers who quote for shipping to the UK, but haven't plucked up the courage to try one out yet (Ebay virgin here ). |

Katee, you are STUNNING!
Absolutely unequivocally gorgeous!
You could have been a super model - these eyes, hair, skin, nose ...
And you do look to be in your twenties.
What kind of skin do you have?
What did you use before ISC?
I tried IS Clinical about a year ago (paid retail unfortunately), and did not like it that much - it just did not do much for my skin. I do not recall exactly the product names, but I believe it to be Active, Proheal and HydraCool.
Also, it was discussed on DY's board and the moderator for the board (a scientist, biochemist) did review the product line and the result was not positive. I do not recall all the details.
On the other hand if that is what keeps your skin sooo gorgeous ...

OMG y'all ARE creeping me out BIGTIME!!!
Eeeek
Laughing.... thank you all for the compliments though. No question about it - I owe my good skin to IS Clinical (and also to good genes, I think...)
The photos are about 6 mos old and yes, I was using IS Clinical when they were taken. In fact, I had already been using ISC for quite awhile.
As to the question of what kind of skin I have, my skin is thick, resilient, and oily. I also had enlarged pores, especially in my t-zone (I don't have them anymore). Before using ISC products, I had been using Vitamin C for quite a long time. I also was doing weekly glycolic peels (which I haven't done since switching to ISC) and, when time permitted, I would go in for a professional facial - probably every 6 weeks or so. I had also used (at various times) Copper Peptides, TNS Recovery Complex (which is pretty good stuff btw), I flirted briefly with Alpha Derma... ok - I admit it; I was a total slut! I'm laughing, but it really is true. My inclination was to try just about every new product that came along.
Since switching to ISC, my skincare routine is alot easier and ALOT cheaper. Even more important though, and I've said this a zillion times here, but I never expected to have a flawless, poreless complexion. I just wanted to make sure I kept my skin toned and wrinkle free and I really did want to reduce the size of my pores. My skin now really is damn close to flawless. And, with the combination of use of the Quasar and Candy's Triple C serum as well, my skin isn't really terribly oily anymore.
For the most part, I wear no make-up. When I go out at night, I will brush on some LeClerc loose powder (though very lightly), and use mascara and lip gloss. Never more than that.
With all that said, I do think that I'm just lucky to have good genes. I've also never smoked cigarettes ( ) and am generally healthy as a horse. In keeping with my heritage ( ), I drink alot of wine, mostly red, and lots and lots of strong coffee (pointing to the iv tube that runs from my Pavoni to my vein). |

OMG sigma! I just caught something in your post that I missed the first time I read it....
ROFLMAOOOOOOOO !
You probably don't remember this, but back when Ms. Biochemist (ahem) reviewed the IS Clinical products on the DY board, I told her, in a VERY diplomatic way, of course, that she didn't know what the hell she was talking about.
In all seriousness, I honestly was diplomatic, but I did disagree with her and disagreed strongly. OMG the entire group, but mostly her, went BERSERK. Apparently, challenging her expertise was not de riguer. I'm not sure, but I think that after that they banned me |

I'm 43 (gulp!).
I had gotten botox injections between my eyebrows some months back because I swear I had developed a permanent crease there from squinting! Long hours and lots of eye strain was just a job hazard at the time.
It's been quite a long while though, and so far, no sign that I need another round. I don't know whether to give the credit to the Quasar, my skincare regimen, or the fact that I (mostly) stopped squinting !!! |

Katee,
thanks for the heads up.
I do not recall the details ( I was a sporadic lurker being too shy to participate at the time, got "out of the closet" recently with that) , and I find it horrible that disagreeing with someone's point of view would cause a person to be banned from the forum. It is called dictatorship in my eyes, but we are not in good old Soviet Union, nor in North Korea.
I can see that it worked well for you. Would you be so kind and share your skin regimen? Like what you use in AM/PM?
What you currently use for yours eyes?
Also, did you use Wellbox and how did you like it?
TIA,
Lucy. |

AM
Cleanse
Super Serum
Candy's Triple C
HydraCool
Eyes: Remergent Microcirculation followed by Eye Bright from skinactives.
Sunscreen
PM
Cleanse
Active Serum
Firming Complex
Eyes: Remergent Micro, Skinceuticals Retinol 1.0 under my eyes, then katee's eye potion
I was using the Baby Quasar every other or third day. I've since upgraded to the Quasar. Using that less frequently, but I haven't settled on what my routine will be as yet.
I also use Candy's DMAE serum on my upper eyes and here and there, but I have to admit that I'm pretty sporadic with it. |

Thank you so much everybody!
I never could find your pictures Katee, but I'm sure you are beautiful.
I've telephoned IS and a rep is calling me back today. Gee, I can open an account to retail this line in my office for only $300.00. I was surprised to hear this as some companies (Biomedic) have a $3,500.00 minimum. Anyway, maybe I can get us some great deals on IS. I'll let you all know. I'm always less expensive than everybody else as I never mark up 50%. My number one revenue of business is permanent makeup. |

Well heck Patty-I spend $300.00 on IS clinical for myself and my son a year already. It adds up when you buy the Proheal & super, Active and Hydracool. Tried the firming & moisturising complexes, eye complex, sunscreen Powder and cleanser (gave to my son who uses Proheal & Hydracool), but didn't reorder those. Maybe I should open an account!
Katee-43! Why you're just a baby! (Just turned 44 myself). Keep on trying the good stuff, cause I love what you bring to the board. I just can't help myself, I have to try it too!
And I remember the flack from that other board over IS, that was a total riot and so Junior High. |

Patty - keep us posted about the pdts. I'm always up for trying to save $$$ (esp since I've "wasted" so much already trying to find the perfect skincare regimen!).
Annie - your signature line sounds just like me! I'm debating between IS and naturdermx/chrysalyx/epidermx at the moment. |
