I would love to see actual pictures of how these products immobilize the muscles when you smile! I can't decide between the two, but I need something quick!!

They don't actually immobilise the muscles, but they can help make movement more difficult, so they're not as effective as Botox. However, I have found that both worked well for me and are great products - particularly on forehead lines, 11's and crow's feet. The ADCE also can help greatly with firming.

ADCE is usually applied all over, whereas Relax-a-Line is only topical. I switched to Relax-a-Line just in case more extensive use might cause problems.

Here's a thread from a while back in which potential problems were discussed. Whilst I think some of the articles concerned may well have been scaremongering, I was worried that there might be at least some truth in it after very long-term use, although this is by no means certain - http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=10810

Hope that helps.

Hi Reascone
Neither of these two products did anything dramatic to smooth my dynamic forehead lines.

There are some before and afters of an EDS user who we know near the bottom of this page.

Actually I worked for Janson Beckett. Those pics on their website are of me prior to my working for them. I have not been in their employment for close to two years.

I still am a user of AlphaDerma. I found that AlphaDerma's biggest effect on my skin was that it firmed it. I never had many lines or wrinkles. The ones I did have (crows feet) were not as prominant. No topical is going to totally get rid of deep lines and wrinkles. I can honestly say that in three years since using AlphaDerma my lines have not gotten worse. Hope I was of some help.

Hi rcascone,
I unfortunately didn't think to take before pictures, but I've used both on my forehead 11s and lines. I used Alpha Derma CE for about 6 weeks and it did nothing for me, although I know other people here have had really good results with it. I've currently been using the Relax-a-line plus w/vialox for about a month, and have noticed definite improvement. I'm only 29, so the lines weren't that deep to begin with, but were definitely there (I squinted a lot as a child!). They're a lot fainter now, and I know it's not just wishful thinking...over Christmas, I mentioned to my mom that I had started using some new products on my face, but didn't mention what or where - she asked if it was something on my forehead, because she'd noticed that my 11s weren't as noticeable!

Oh good. I'd rather hear that you got results with the cheaper product...at least my wallet does! I was a squinter too...i dont know why I never wore sunglasses??!! UGH! I hope I have some success too! Thanks for your input Smile
