Uneven, red skin, enlarged pores can anyone suggest anything for this? preferably something fast acting and no skin dies or anything like that they just seem to make things worse. Any ideas? |

I'd suggest Copper peptides for red skin. They really made a difference in my skin in term of redness. I tried a lot of creams for redness before that didn't give me any effect.
Do you use vit C, any exfoliators? |

I second jumpinballs suggestion. It really made a difference on my red face. It has a much better tone to it now. |

CP serum from Skinbio, proceeding very very slowly at first - dilute with water, then by itself, then Super CP serum.
Also, Emu Oil on top to help heal and calm.

I use CP serum from Skinbio too. You can buy sample size first either at skinbio.com or dianayvonne.com. |

In addition to CPs, I would also be sure that you aren't currently using anything that can irritate your skin. Harsh detergents (SDS, SLES, ALS, etc.) and high pH products can be very irritating.
Tangal posted a great review of pH and skincare products here

With CPs in particular, but with most products in general, it's good to start slowly to see how your skin reacts. When I first started using AHA/BHA for my pores, I thought, "My skin is oily and tough!" and I used products that were too strong for my skin (at the time). Instead of making my pores clearer, my pores and skin texture worsened.
The other thing that has been helping to clear my pores and condition my skin has been using the Oil Cleansing Method. There are many threads about this ("OCM") online as well. Depending on the oils you use, they can really help to soothe your skin.
Last thing that I think helps my complexion is drinking lots of water.

For a *quick* fix, I love Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask! It calms irritation, redness and makes pores look smaller. For me, it is worth every penny. |

"low-dose" OTC retinols helped me. I started out with Green Cream Level 3 and have moved to Retrinal 0.025%. I think it's a slower process due to the lower concentration, but I wanted to play it safe since I have sensitive skin. |

I second this, it has really helped any redness my face had. |

I agree with all above who suggested the cp's/emu oil!
but very important, too is priscilla suggestion about the cleanser.
VERY important, and often overlooked!
you could use the greatest skin care and actives,
but harsh detergents and high ph cleansers will make it hard for your skin to maintain a healthy state.
(fwiw - I use diana yvonnes rosehip seed cleanser - ph 5.5 and no detergents)
**drinking lots of water**, and supplements like msm, vit c and borage oil would help too |
