Hi everyone, I have had an allergic reaction to some skin care and would like some advice on what to do. I used a couple of new things, so I am not sure which product caused my reaction, so I have stopped using everything at the moment. Yesterday morning, my cheeks had a red patch on them and the skin felt hard and hot. This got worse in the evening and at one point they felt like they were on fire. I decided to take two allergy tablets, and today, I am absolutely fine. The redness has gone down and the skin just feels a bit tight. Any advice on after care after the reaction? I was thinking about aloe vera, mild moisturizers or pehaps just leaving the area alone. Thanks for any advice. |

Something is wrong with my computer today. It sent through my post twice and now I can not even edit it - I get a message saying "you can only edit your own posts" and all of a sudden I am no longer logged in... Sorry. |

When I had an allergic reation last summer, I was advised by my derm to stop everything and just use Cetaphil or Obagi Gentle to wash my face. I then applied Obagi Active for 7-10 days and it turned my skin around. You can't use it longer than that because of the cortisone in it, but it really calms the irritation. |
