Good question! I've never had much luck with those refillable brushes--- they aren't the best quality and cleaning them (and making sure they are completely dry) is a nightmare for me. Right now when I travel just I just bring my jar of mineral make up, and then I put my flocked sponge in its case and put my powder brush in a roll-up brush case that I got from Hard Candy. (Unfortunately I think it's discontinued, but roll-up brush cases are pretty easy to come by I think.) I'm looking for a high-quality travel-friendly baby buki brush, but I haven't found one yet so for now I'll just keep up what I'm doing. Gotta have my mineral makeup!^-^ |

I've been using the baby buki from the BM kit. I'm sure it's not as soft as some others...but it's fine for me and tiny. |

Good question. I've wondered about them, myself.
I pack everything but the kitchen sink when I go away, so I just take the whole shabang with me.. |

I've been very intrigued by these makeup brushes as well and am dying to know if they work well. If they did, it would be an AWESOME way to carry MMU along in our purses for touch up.

This sounds like what I've been doing b/c I don't like not being w/o my mmu in case I need a touch up. But, it'd be great to have a travel brush for when you go out & only bring a small clutch. I'm sure I'll end up being a guinea pig & will report back w/my experience. It seems that the quality of these refillable brushes has improved greatly since the last one I had. My other mu brushes from Mac & Bobbi Brown are a combo of sable & goat hair, so I think the bristles are of pretty good quality. My last refillable brush shed like CRAZY, and I'm wondering if it had to do with the refillable nature of the brush, or maybe it was just bad manufacturing. |
