Hi Cherisse: (love your name)
You wanted to know where I purchased my hydroxy
acids. The beta was from skin biology, its the exfol cream or serum (I prefer the serum) they are about 2% and a ph3. The alpha Hydroxy I mixed myself and I don't remember where it was purchased. Skin Biology's is 10% but it is a ph3 so it is pretty mild. Dianne Yvonne sells both these products.
Samples are also available so you might want to go that route.
Some thing else you might think of trying would be some of the homemade aspirin masks, creams or serums. There are some good ones on this site. Hope you have success with this as I know how self conscious young children are if they feel in any way different from other children.
Best of luck.

Seriously, if the situation hasn't improved for 5 years, I would have to go to a dermatologist immediately. And I really don't think you should continue pulling your kid's scalp! |

As drastic as it sounds, Cherisse, change pedis. As a pediatric RN, I'd have to say they were not doing their jobs adequately. See a dermatologist. A school aged child should be able to some help with this and not have to suffer so much esp. when help is available. I hate HMO's, uh, oh, up on my soap box again! Good luck. |
