I decided to go ahead & order the refillable mmu brush, but want to know which type of hair would be best? Squirrel or goat? I have makeup brushes in both types, but now I can't tell which brushes are squirrel & which are goat. Which one is softer? |

I have the A'squirrel squirrel powder and kabuki brush, they are soft like nothing - even better than Bobbi Brown and other "pure" goat hair brushes I have tried.
I have a feeling big brand goat hair brushes will not be as soft as squirrel hair, but that all depends on how the fibers are treated too. |

I definetely like squirrel better than goat, at least the goat hair brushes I have tried. Squirrel is softer, which for me translates into better mu application. |

I agree with miranets: The goat hair is more coarse...I use goat hair as a finishing brush, to lift colour if my blush is too heavy or to lift pigment (if my shadow falls to my cheeks)but that is it. I never use it for any sort of application.

Anyone know about the fibre optic type of brush?
Someone here mentioned that they help with giving 'glow' and I'm wanting to order one from Aromaleigh, but they're out of stock.
Anyone tried them? |

Catski, I have fiberopic brushes, one for face and an eye shadow one, they came as a set and were really inexpensive about a yr ago when I got them. I wear mmu and now use the larger brush pretty much exclusively for blush. I was using a flat-top squirrel for blush /bronzer but I couldn't get the app light enough. The fiber optic brush solves that prob. beautifully. I picks up a smaller amount of product and distributes it in a light layerm then I can apply a secong layer if I want a more dramatic look. the eye shadow brush I use as a final sweep across the eyelid to blend. You can also use it underneath if any flecks fall there. I'm glad I bought them , it was a impulse buy!!! |

Hi catski! I recently tried a fiber optic brush blush and I love it! It totally solved the problem I had with a favorite highly pigmented blush -- I can use it without worrying everyday that I am overdoing it with application. |

Thanks for the advice on the mmu brush hair. I will go ahead & order the squirrel refillable brush. I hope this works well enough so that I can use this daily, instead of just for travel. The mmu application is starting to get on my nerves. Takes to much time. It'd be great to have the mmu ready to go on the brush especially for those days when you're running late & have to do your m/u in the car.
I LOVE my fiber optic brush to apply blush. Before finding this tool, I couldn't wear blush without looking like a clown. The fiber optic brush gives perfectly distributed color of even the most pigmented blush. Getting perfectly flushed cheeks is virtually goof proof.
I also use the brush for application of "glow" products after mmu application. Ie. shimmers, finishing powders, bronzers, etc. |

I intended to buy them from Aromaleigh, but when I got to the checkout I found they dont ship to the UK..
None on ebay at the moment.
Anyone have a favourite source? TIA |
