I've only tried stuff when I have gotten it free from buying one or two things, or gotten a facial there.
I love their silk exfoliating brush- but it is now discontinued.
I have tried their benefiance balancing softener and really liked it. It really softened my skin and added moiture. I stopped using it, cuz at the time I was only 23 and didn't really need it. But I am 30 now, so maybe I should give it a shot again. |

The makeup from them are fabulous!
But it's not easy to get them from Europe, you may need to order it from Japan. |

The only thing I sorta liked was their Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer - it didn't mattify but it was very light, very suitable for oily/problem skin. However I really hate Shiseido skincare - tried their regular skincare line AND pureness. I've tried about 4 of their cleansers and they ALL irritated my skin which is NOT at all sensitive. Apart from leaving me dry it actually sort of stung. At first I thought the ones I used were to strong but even when I moved to the mildest of the skincare line it STILL stung! Their skincare line moisturizers are OK, nothing special you can find that type of moisturizer anywhere. I quite like their lip balm though - the one in the blue tube. The lip balm from their skincare line isn't as good as the one that's from the sunscreen line. I also liked their Soothing Eye Gel which helped keep my hereditary puffiness at bay.
Makeup wise - I like their mascaras but their powders turn orange on me. Their makeup base is not bad though, definitely worth a try. |

red head--i actually was a long time shiseido user before going crazy and started brand hopping. I have to say their skin care is definitely one of the better brands you find at department stores compared to christian dior, clinique, etc.
to this day, i still keep a tube of the skincare foaming face wash with me when i want my skin extra squeaky clean for peel off mask applications.
i like their makeup a lot actually. their eyeshadows have good texture and the colors even if they appear bright in the palette are actually subdued and wearable.
i would have to say my favorite product right now is their lipstick though. i have 2 of them, one in sheer nuance beige and another in perfecting tahiti pink (it looks scary in the tube but is so lovely when applied). they are so beautifully textured and have a slight plumping effect and not drying at all.
shiseido has many ranges though that aren't easily found in regular US malls. Neobeauty.com has a good selection but i know shiseido has many more lines:
