I'm (still) a big Epidermx II fan, but really must add my praises for PSF Microcrystal Resurfacing cream. Another GREAT product from PSF!!  
The product is very similar to Ep II -- same type of crystals, etc. I think that the base in the PSF product is a tad heavier and that the Ep II rinses off a little more cleanly. I normally hate anything filmy on my oily skin, but the PSF doesn't bother me at all.
Samples are available atwww.psfskincare.com. If you use the product a few times a week, the sample will probably last 1.5-2 weeks.
Below is the info from the PSF site. Please note that PSF indicates that this product may not be appropriate for sensitive/rosacea skins.

Marla, thanks for posting this - I've been thinking about incorporating some of the PSF line into my skincare and was eyeing this just yesterday.
How long have you been using this, what kind of skin do you have, how long do you scrub on different areas of your face?
My only hesitation is the shea and cocoa butter, they may be too rich for oily skin. |

I've been using EpII for a few months now. I've used my sample of PSF every other night for the past week and a half or so. I plan on ordering a full size. I will also be ordering the Superhydrating Eye Cream (separate review). I've used and enjoyed the Cranberry Eye Gel for quite a while now.
I have oily, non-sensitive skin. I cleanse, then use the scrub in circular motions all over my face for about 20-30 seconds, concentrating on my nose/nostrils. I then follow with ISC Active serum and ISC Hydrocool or Firming Complex.
So far I haven't had any problems with clogged pores (unusual for me).
I'm a big PSF fan!

I want to try this but I am also concerned about the shea and cocoa butter. Those would easily reclog my pores. |

Hmm, I'm even more curious about this now - I googled this and it looks like aluminum oxide and corundum is the same thing. Link: http://www.galleries.com/minerals/oxides/corundum/corundum.htm
Marla, be sure to let us know how this is working for you after 3-4 weeks or so. I actually tried EpidermX II for a few weeks and while it didn't have any negative effects like clogging pores or irritation, I didn't see any difference either. Whether it's because I wasn't using it right or because I exfoliate everyday, I do not know  |

Yes -- I just received a PM from Darren stating that aluminum oxide crystals and corundum crystals are the same thing.
athena 123 - I will definitely post an update. Maybe your skin doesn't really NEED a microdermabrasion product (which is very cool for you!)? Prior to using Ep II/PSF I gently used a warm washcloth to exfoliate. If I don't exfoliate regularly, my skin gets very sluggish and I get clogged pores (bumpy skin). |

I want to try this but I am also concerned about the shea and cocoa butter. Those would easily reclog my pores. |
HI! I just wanted to add that if anyone would have problem with clogged pores it would be me and it has done nothing but UNCLOG my pores!For real! I have horrible acne prone skin. I cannot say enough about this product. I posted a rave on it when it first came out and have been loving it ever since! So don't be afraid to try it if you haven't already. I am sure you will love it as much as me! PSF Rocks! (Just trying to enable a bit, hee hee)

Good point Marla - how do you know if you need microdermabrasion? I just assumed I did because I'm 42! and the enlarge pore thingy, and the slight forehead lines, and the.... |

| I've tried both, and prefer the Epidermx2. PSF is too rough for my likes. Having said that, I would not mind the Epidermx being just a tad bit more rough, as it is quite gentle. Still, I targeted the beginning of a skin tag that was starting on my jawline, for a couple days, and really rubbed it with the Epidermx. Gone, with no undesireable after effects. Also, leaves my skin soft as silk. |

LOL! I'm prone to clogged pores in the way of "bumpy" skin and using EpII/PSF Microd, combined with using ISC Active, really helps keep that away. Since using the combination of products, the pores on my nose/cheeks are cleaner and therefore much less noticable. I try to be realistic about products and, frankly, don't think that any product, at my age, is going to make enlarged pores go away (unfortunately). |

Hmm...I am finding EpII a little rough on my skin compare to Jurlique Face Wash Cream so I guess the PSF one wouldn't be a good fit for me  |

PSF recommends that the product be used 2-3 times a week.
I noticed that, after using the PSF daily for about a week, my skin was looking a little "stripped" (I don't know how else to describe it). Honestly, I don't know if it's the PSF, environment, hormones or what, but, to be on the safe side, I use it every other night and it's all good. I never had such an issue with the EpII...as a matter of fact, my skin preferred that the EpII be used every night.
Again, my skin's fairly resistent.

No, which is one of the reasons I like it so much. It does not leave a heavy film on my face like so many other microdermabrasion creams/scrubs.
I've never used the Dr Brandt scrub, so I can't compare. |

Does anyone who's been using PSF dermabrasion have an update? I've got this sitting in my EDS cart along with a bunch of other stuff, mighty tempted to try if only because you get a little more for your $$ than you do with EpidermXII.

| Well if you are looking for a deep exfoliator this is definitely my favorite so far! It actually feels like it's doing something. And it leaves your skin soo amazing afterwards that it's just unbelievable! I give it 2 thumbs up! Great price too, how could you go wrong? |
