This night balm is one of the best I have used. Just use a little pearl drop, warm it in your palm, rub it in your palm, smell the aroma and then sweep it away from your nose, over your entire face and neck. In the morning, your skin looks well rested. It is advertised as 'With its lush, melt-in texture, AROMESSENCE™ BAUME ESSENTIEL offers all the benefits of a made-to-measure Aromatic night-care treatment:
• purifies and helps balance the skin,
• softens the skin, refines skin texture and adds a glow to even the most lacklustre complexions. '

I have used the ylang-ylang but I find this better for my skin. I have not used the IRIS balm. Decleor has night balms for every skin type but the balm essential is for all skin types.

I love this too! In fact I've just discovered EDS because I needed more balm (which btw lasts and lasts)and its hard to find in stores. EDS has really great price for it too.
I just bought what is probably my fifth jar.
I've tried other flavors, but essential is my favorite.

This has done nothing for my under eye lines. Although I suppose it's not advertised as reducing fine lines. However, I was hoping for some sort of plumping action.

As far as balancing my complexion. Nope nothing on that front, either.

I'm currently not a big fan of the botanical oil approach to skincare.

Ingredients: CORYLUS AVELLANA (HAZEL) SEED OIL, BEESWAX (CERA ALBA), PERSEA GRATISSIMA (AVOCADO) OIL, COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX , OCIMUM BASILICUM (BASIL) OIL, CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA (BITTER ORANGE) NEROLI OIL, ANTHEMIS NOBILIS FLOWER OIL, DIPTERYX ODORATA SEED EXTRACT, TOCOPHEROL

I loved Essential Balm for the past 2 years. I really enjoyed putting it on and massage my face in that wonderful aroma. However, I am not sure if I would repurchase in the future because one jar really last very very long if I don't use it every night.

I quite agree with RMB that it can't help for reducing fine lines. Although I love aroma I have to stop repurchasing coz I want to try other good stuff from EDS after reading so many great reviews.

I have been using the Ylang Ylang balm and have been thinking of getting the Aromessence Baume Essentiel but am wondering how is it different than the Ylang Ylang?

Rosebud, I've never used the Ylang-Ylang. But if you like what it's done for you, you'd probably like the Essential, too. If you don't think it's done anything for you, then I wouldn't bother getting the Essential. I don't think they're all that different.

Main difference between the ylang ylang and the essential is different essential oils, Ylang ylang balm is meant for balanceing oily skin and Essential balm is for clearing the complexion. Rose DÓrient is for calming senstitive skin etc etc. Same goes for the oils, they're all composed to direct specific problems/areas.

I would not use any of these balms in my undereye area, too waxy and heavy IMO, and I don't think they're meant to be used here anyways....

Very Happy
