I am looking for an underwired seamfree bra with an unmoulded cup, that is VERY SUPPORTIVE, ( I'm 34D ) and preferably comes in pretty colours. Someting feminine and pretty.
I'm truly fed up of the industrial strength harness - I mean bra - I currently wear by Triumph which is black/ white / American Tan.
I'm hoping to find something prettier, but equall in hoisting power, that I can order, probably from outside of the UK.
I want the impossible - something that feels like it has really strong straps, but doesnt look as though it does..
Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA. |

catski, have you ever tried Victoria's Secret bras? My absolute fave, they're comfortable, streamlined and pretty.
They have a new seamless line called Secrets embrace that's fantastic. Not sure how supportive it is for D cup, since I'm either B or C but if you don't have a VS store in your neighborhood, the return policy on their online store is excellent. You can order, try and return no questions asked.
Good luck! |

Another vote for Victoria's Secret bras. I love the shaping full coverage underwire that's part of the Body by Victoria line. It's lightly padded. |

If you change your mind about a molded cup, I've been very happy with my Chantelle Senso T-shirt bra (I wear a 34DD). The cups don't stand away from my body, like a lot of my other molded cup bras do. The straps are "moveable" in that they have 2 positions in the back, or you can cross the straps. This bra is expensive to buy in the store ($60 or so), but you can get them off e-bay for $20 to $25. |

Hi!
I've never bought a bra from victoria's secret before, but I noticed they are having some big semi annual sale right now, so I'm tempted. I'm also a 34D and am always looking for a better bra.
I have an olga one that's comfy, but *cute* and cumfy is always so hard to find. I just bought an adorable one from Target, that is so -not- shaped like a pair of breasts!
Okay, VS, here I come. Good luck Catski!

I love bras from Freya and Fantasie. Wonderful support and pretty bras for a F-cup... I buy online onwww.brastop.com,www.bravissimo.com orwww.figleaves.com I think all of these are UK based, but figleaves also has a US branch. |

Thanks for the replies!
We dont have Victoria's Secret here in the UK, as far as I know, but that's not a problem, I'll check it out online.
catmcall, I've actually been recommended that bra before, so I think two recommendations mean I have to try it. Thanks for that.
Schnee, those are the suppliers that I use too, but they dont have anything like what I described that I am looking for.

Too bad Catski. But I just want to comment on what you said about bra straps. You do know that the weight of you breast is NOT supposed to carried by the shoulder strap? The real support is in the back strap, so if your shoulder strap is carrying the weight you are probably wearing the wrong size. Most women actually wear the wrong bra size. I had a professional fitting and it was such a relief to find a bra that really did its job! |

True enough,Schnee. I've been measured too. I'm afraid I need a strong bra in ALL respects, with a good back strap AND shoulder straps.
( industrial strength underwear..) |

Oh, I know all about "industrial strength"! That's why I love the bras from Freya and Fantasie, they are pretty and a lot more supportive than they look! I have huge F-cups, but no back problems because I wear really good bras. Another advantage is that the clothes fit nicely over a good bra. But is's important that you find a brand and style that fit you well. I basically hate Triumph bras because they have odd sizes and strange shapes. They never fit well, not even in the right size for me. |

I have some nice Freya bra's, Schnee, and I always get swimwear by Fantasie.
The thing is, I want something with a really smooth line. Freya have embroiderie or a central seam across the cup which creates more of a pointy shape.
What do you wear as a 't' shirt bra? |

I have got that one, Schnee! It;s probably the best of what I've found in the UK. I was pleased to get something pink. But in truth it is a bit strawberry blancmange - y/ pepto bismol-y.
What I dont understand is why they make bra's of this style so 100% functional looking.
It's either lacy and pretty,or a smooth line with no frills whatsoever or even a wisp of sexiness or decoration. |

Catski, you really want it all!
I did see some pretty t-shirt/seamless bras on figleaves from Chantelle and Passionata, but the decoration was mostly on the straps. And I once had a seamless bra with lace cups, but of course there was NO support in the cups so it was actually a terrible bra. |

Actually, I've heard it's a place in London that make tailord underwear (and apparently makes the queens bras ), but I've never been there. I guess it's expencive, but maybe worth it? |

I really think that in the UK you can't go wrong with Marks & Spencer, I am so fussy when it comes to wearing a bra and it has to be comfortable and soft against my skin, M&S is the only place I have ever found a good bra. |

I'm afraid M&S just arent my sizing, they dont fit me.
Schnee, I knew I was getting Verrry Fussy about my bra's when I found myself investigating a "make your own bra" site... |

Did you find a site where you can make a special order? Interesting... Maybe tailoring is the way to go! But it is probably best to find a lokal seamstress to do the sowing. Then you could get it properly fitted. |

I've read a lot of raves for the Breezies brand that is offered on QVC. Apparently they are great for more well-endowed -- so no personal experience. |
