I cant seem to find a LA exfoliant at pH around 3. The DY is too irritating for my skin. |

I think Skin Biology has a 10% lactic acid. It's a fairly high PH (I think about 3%)it's called Lacsal. I haven't tried it so I can't say how effective it is.

If the DY 10% is too irritating for you considering it's about the gentlest 'peel' type exfoliant I'd go for a buffered 'leave on overnight' type one instead. It doesn't spike so bad. I believe the lacsal is a buffered leave on one as is the cellularskinrx refinishing thing. There are very many. |

lacsal contains both aha and bha.
I'm actually waiting on a sample of their new serum formulation, so can't speak from experience.... yet.
I'm looking forward to trying this.
ifeelpretty also carries aha/bha - in two different strengths. I haven't tried these either, but it looks like a very nice product:

with your skin being dry, and your use of retinoids,
maybe something like the "pumpkin peel" - rather than stronger aha's would be a better option for you?? |

I have LacSal (it was being sent out free with purchase from Skin biology and DY). The LacSal is pretty strong for a leave in product.
It is pretty strong - much stronger for me than ifeelpretty Aha/BHA products.
Sometimes we just need to hang out with the low levels for a while. |

Monica34,
You've also been asking a load of questions about Retin A, Renova, retinol, etc.
You say you have dry, sensitive skin, but you're using a lactic acid cleanser AND a retin A or retinol product?
May I ask who prescribed this skin care regimen for you? |

Monica34 - I have to agree with katee. If your skin is dry and irritated, why would you even consider using some of the products you've been asking about recently? You've referred to Dr. Huber these last few days, yet if you intend to follow his latest theory, from what I understand he doesn't advocate so many acids and retinoids in a single regimen -- rather the opposite. |

What Katee and m.april said. Particularly when you are a Newbie DIY, it's really ill-advised to jump straight into the AHA and Retin A/tretinoin/Renova end.
For your circumstances, it may be much more prudent to exfoliate with plant enzyme ingredients/products. |

Good advice from all the above.
But, this is one of those old, abandoned threads which someone reactivated - I wouldn't worry. Re. recent conversations, I don't think Monica's still planning to use exfoliants. |
