Okay,
Anyone who frequents this forum knows that I've been WARRING with my mineral-rich water in Paris for a month now. Problem is, it contains iron and calcium carbonate, which not only become glued to my skin, but irritate it and dry it out to no end as well. Lucky me!
My new problem: my skin. Whenever I shower, I develop mild rosacea and itchy skin for the day. Yay!
So, at the pharmacy yesterday, I was in a desperate, reckless mood, and I purchased Darphin's calming oil with 46 Euros that I do not quite have. But that is another story.
DARPHIN CHAMOMILE AROMATIC FLUID FOR SENSITIVE AND REDDENING SKIN
Protects sensitive skin from environmental aggressions. Smooths the epidermis and prevents blotching.
Directions: apply a few drops morning and night, or mix in with your daily moisturizer.
Main ingredients: Chamomile and Sage essential oils, Lemon balm, Jojoba and Calendula oils, Aloe vera extract (also contains hazelnut oil, horse chesnut extract, sunflower, sweet almond oils, clary sage, witch hazel.
A very soothing broth that just about cured my redness overnight and made my skin feel and look lovely. I was beginning to get a red, itchy patch below my chin, and I applied this onto it and it relieved the itching right away, and the redness was gone by morning. It also helped to diminish a hormonal spot that was trying to take over my forehead. I highly recommend those with sensitive or reactive skins try stocking this as a just-in-case treatment! Also, it has many ingredients that are reputed to be helpful with redness and spider veins, such as hazelnut oil, horse chestnut extract, witch hazel, chamomile, calendula, jojoba, and clary sage balm. I'm going to get some rosehip oil today and mix it all in with my night cream from now on!

Thanks for the review, avalange. My skin has been all over the place this winter in Boston and I am looking for some chamomille E.O to add to my face cream. The Darphin sounds like a keeper. |
