I would love to hear what anti aging routine you are using to take care of your skin if it is normal to dry and you are using Retin A. |

The obagi system is the best way to start. A couple tips-don't use too much, don't get too close to your mouth(or you'll really flake) and try everyother day if you're flaking too much. |

Hi Monica,
I've used Retin A since my late 20s. I'm 49 now. Anyway, nobody ever really told me how to use it and I used it once a day, at night, every night. Needless to say, my face looked like I had been dragged behind a car. Don't use it like I did. LOL!! These days, I use it every couple of nights before I use my JM skin care products. If my skin starts to feel uncomfortable with burning, I'll leave it off a couple more days. Some of my JM products that I use at night, have Retinal in them so I'm pretty sure that's why I have to leave the extra boost of straight Retin-A off every couple of nights. I am a firm believer in the stuff and I'm glad I started using it way back when but I wish someone had explained to me how to use it so I could have saved myself a lot of discomfort. To decided on your routine, you need to take your skin care routine into consideration. When I used only Retin A at night, after my initial adjustment, I used it almost every night.
I hope this was helpful and not confusing.

I am almost positive you need a prescription for Retin A Micro. I got samples from a dermatologist client of mine, but I ended up buying Green Cream after reading some recommendations on here. They have a forum, like this one, and it is very helpful if you start to use it. www.greencream.com. Others also use other forms of retinol that aren't as strong as Micro, like Avene's products.
