This review is for the 'Matifying Re-Sourcing Care: Fresh Hydrating Gel', the one with the green lid.
I normally swear by Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil to keep my Oily skin at bay but some days I do not have the time to wait for it to sink in before applying my make-up so decided I needed something quicker to use for days when I was in a hurry or for evenings when I just needed a fast make-up base.
I saw this at half price in Boots, normally around £11 it was reduced to £5.50 for 40ml which I thought was reasonable.
Says on the box:
"RoC Hydra+ Combination Skin Moisturiser
Matifying re-sourcing care in a fresh hydrating gel.
Long lastingly rehydrated, your skin is re-sourced. It is toned supple and matified. Used daily this moisturiser is ideal for combination or even sensitive skin. Excellent base for make-up."
As soon as I applied this sank in straight away, the consistency is of a lotion, white in colour and fragrance free.
Skin felt matte and I could apply my make-up straight away. No shine or oily breakthrough during the day, in fact at the end of the day my face still looked and felt as it had in the morning after I had just finnished getting ready....still clean & fresh!!
Best of all I had no breakouts using this at all.
This is perfect for the summer, for winter I feel like I will need just a few drops of oil on my skin first then I will apply the ROC Hydra+ and voila perfect complexion. This makes such a wonderful make-up primer, without that taut mask like feeling.
I was going to list the ingredients but will admit that it is not natural and yes some chemicals. |

Thanks for the review! I might go check this product out. Seeing as I just noticed the other day that ROC products are now available at my local Priceline store (in Australia). |
