how about aveda products?
I used them a couple of years ago with great results. I think due to financial reasons I stopped using aveda but I want to buy it again soon.

I love Sephora's Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream for Medium to Thick Hair, worked fabulously in Mexico on the beach to keep the frizz down.
A bit pricey for how much you get and how much you have to use, but it does work. |
I have med-thick wavy hair that frizz very quickly and living in the south does not help. This product is pricey! So,I am glad to see this recommendation because I have been thinking about trying it for a long time! |

Starlight, I only use it on the days when I straighten my hair, mainly the weekends. That makes it go farther. If you go check it out on Sephora, you might read the reviews. The bottle is not very big and you have to use a bit more, but it does work.
I also use several Aveda products for curly hair on my curly hair days. They are a bit pricey too, but seem to go way further as you don't have to use as much so they have lasted way longer. |

Thanks Annie: Sephora is about 2 1/2 hrs. from me and the last time I was there I forgot to look at this product. I was planning to order it online! I expected the bottle to be a decent size with that price but I now I know. I have long hair and I wear it straight so I will use this up in no time! |

I'm using the Moroccan Oil leave-in treatment. I think it's quite nice but I've only been using it for a week. I rinse it out as well and use it after a nice clarifying shampoo (Redken Cleansing Cream).
It has Argan oil in it! It was $18 at the salon that I bought it from but they have a 14 day exchange policy.
Anyone have any thoughts on Loma Pearatin Fortifying Repairative Serum? |

Aha! Excuse me I should include what type of hair I have.
My hair is medium length, very thick but fine, non-coloured and straight. I notice the Moroccan Oil gives my hair unprecedented shine. I've gotten two compliments so far |

my hair is thick and coarse with parts that are wavy, frizzy, and straight. lucky me! i've tried sebastian, paul mitchell...basically all the high end salon stuff all the way to walmart products. i found the sebastion treatment and shine conditioner pretty good. if you have problematic hair, try the valmont hair mask. it made my hair lush and silky. not something i can afford to do every week but something i'll definitely have on hand when my mop gets out of control. |

Moroccan Oil is great at smoothing, I use it with a blow dryer. I am not sure how good it is for straightening on its own. Leaves my hair very shiny and it is light, not oily. |

For the last few months I've been using Fekkai Glossing Cream...love, love, LOVE the stuff. Leaves my hair smooth, glossy and super soft and I have the thick, curly, wavy, flyaway hair problem...especially in the winter. A little of it goes a very long way and you barely need a pea size amount...you can buy this at Bath and Body works, $9 for a 1.6 oz tube. Doesn't seem like a lot for 9 bucks, but I've had this same tube for the last 8 weeks and still have a ton left. |

I would be afraid to use a hot iron on my hair with an oil product in it. Wouldn't it just fry my hair? I lave the shine of the oil products though. |

i got a bottle of biosilk today and i am not too impressed. while it does make my hair a bit softer it isnt much shiner or healhier looking.. and not that soft anyway. i had better results with chi silk infusion but its also 1/3 cost more than biosilk |

on the plus side it did moisturize and detangle my hair quite well. my hair was very dry and tangled the last few weeks cause coconut oil mask totally wrecked it. ill give it a few more tries and update if i somehow fall in love with the biosilk |

I have used nearly every smoothing serum on my hair! I recently started with a new line called Surface hair care. The moisturizing oil in the line is sooooooooo AWESOME!! It is gorgeous, just sinks in. I believe the line is fairly new, just saw it at the hairdressers. I could not believe how smooth my hair was. |

Yesterday I was at Sephora and I spent quiet a bit but I decided to give this product a try and today it is raining and around 60 and my hair is not frizzed out all over the place. It is expensive for the amount you get but it is an amazing product. My hair does not feel heavy and greasy; it looks natural, clean and without frizz. Thanks Annie! |
