Hi girls (and guys) I cannot thank you all for everything I've learned since becoming part of this forum.
Maybe you can help me diagnose a bump I have on my cheeks which my doctor said "it's nothing, you can barely see it!" But of course, us women are very picky with our skin, and when we have something we don't like, we want to REMOVE it even if no one else can tell but us.
It's a bump very similar to a very small cystic acne bump, except it's not red,it's flesh colored and if you press on it, you can't feel anything underneath (so it's definitely not a zit).
I can compare it to a raised pore. It's well just...a bump.
I don't like seeing it and it bothers me very much because it is right smack in the middle of my cheek.
I've tried IPL, chemical peels, AHAs,BHAs, Vit C, CP, I even had a cortison shot (in case it really was a pimple that just didn't want to come to the surface)and it's still there!!
If you have any suggestions on what this might be, or better..a way to get RID of it, or of any of you have similar "bumps" pleeeeeeease let me know.
I don't know what else to try. |

Hi, I think I had what you're describing a couple of years ago. It was in the middle lower part of my left cheek. NOTHING worked. Then, for some reason, it just went away.
It's encouraging that your doc thinks it's nothing. How long have you had it?

I've had it for about 6 months.
My doctor said it was nothing as if trying to convince me not to be so vain. Then agian, he's a man and sometimes imperfections like this don't bother them.
I remeber him mentioning once that it COULD be some sort of compressed blood vessel. Not sure about the "compressed" part, but I know he said something about blood vessels. Again, i was not sure about this because it's not red at all. It has no color that may indicate it being any sort of immflamation.
Reason why I'm asking all of you, whom I know are mostly all women, and perhaps relate much better. |

Seems like I had the little sucker for a bit longer than 6 months 'cause I tried sooooo many things. Just exfoliate and "feed" your skin with topical nutrients and see what happens. I know milia are the same way. They just hang around and then suddenly just go away.

I agree with Arielle. I had a bump under my eye which the Doctor said was nothing and to just leave it alone. I followed his advice and in time it did go away. This did not happen overnight. It took over 6 months before I began to see it getting smaller and smaller and then one day it just wasn't there anymore.
The more I tried some kind of remedy on this bump the more it stuck around. When I began to relax about it and not worry well, that's when it started to go. |
