Hi there
i feel your plight - youve probably had acne for years and scoured internet shops, salons and your entire high street in a quest to find something, anything to cure your acne which you feel terribly self-conscious about. - sound familiar?
i am almost on the road to recovery from my acne. it was not all over my face, but heavily concentrated on my forehead. i tried everything - tablets like Vita Cure B5, chinese remedies (sometimes taking 10 pills a day!!), chinese waters, high street skincare, you name i tried it and years and severely out of pocket later...my acne was exactly the same.
that was until i watched a program on celebrities - it was all about the fabulous life of Will and Jada Smith. It said the skincare products they used were Dermalogica. After this i thought to myself - let me do some research on the internet, i probably wont be able to afford if theyre using it, but ill try nonetheless.
i made my first purchase 1 week later. Some more purchases came 1 week after this. 3 weeks later - about a 70% improvement in my forhead - my friends began to commment - "farouk your skin is really clearing".
If i was you, id give this vitamin potion a miss. Products like that work on a few but never work on you. Dermalogica combines the science of nature with dermatology to bring you products that actually do what they say!! When it comes to skincare - i dont care what the packaging looks like, what the colour of the product is, or who makes it. all i care about is the list of ingredients - ID STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY DERMALOGICA. All of their ingredients are 100% natural, theyre cleansers are astonishing - you would expect the primary ingredient of a cleanser to be water (or "deionised water" to sound posh) or alcohol, but all of theyre cleansers have either essential waters of balm mint, or lavender or other fantastic plant extracts. Let me recommend a regimen for you.
Cleanse: Anti Bac skin wash
Toner: Find your own toner thats completely 100% alcohol free - i recommend Decleor Matifying Lotion
BOOSTER: SPECIAL CLEARING BOOSTER
AT NIGHT - MEDICATED CLEARING GEL (in capitals because this product im sure will change your life)
Mask: Anti bac cooling masque
Theyre are a few products from other ranges that i would also recommend:
Gatineau Mateliance Effervescent Formula
Cellex- C Advanced C Skin Toning Mask (which has to be used with fresh compexion mist)
(i wouldnt buy both - unless your incredibly rich! ) but these products, which ive both used are absolutely fantastic at "blasting" your face of all impurities. Let your own research of these products tell you which one to buy.
what you need to do is stick to this dermalogica regimen - religiously. Cleanse tone, apply the booster and apply medicated clearing gel every evening. Im absolutely convinced on this regimen you will see a massive improvement.
Let me finish by apologising for boring you to death with the length of this reply - but i know all too well what its like to live with acne and i know now what it feels like to have almost clear skin, which is why i want you to experience the same. You really cant go wrong with Dermalogica because all of theyre products contain the best ingredients, no alcohol, or lanolin, or any comedogenic (pore-clogging) ingredients.
Please email me at fdp1@le.ac.uk and you can ask me any more questions, id be happy to be of assistance. If you also want guidance on where to buy these products then ill let you know that too.
I hope this helps. |

You might also like to investigate MD Formulations products - their products with glycolic/salicylic acid could be good for your skin. They have nice "trial packs" that aren't too expensive and they're a good way to try out the products and effectiveness before investing money into the full sizes.
I agree with Farouk (who, clearly, is a big Dermalogica fan ) that the Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel is a nice product for pimples also.
