It's 17 below here and apparently not getting any warmer anytime soon, and I'm expecting a couple of packages to arrive in the next week or so - which includes Vit. C serum and other sensitive products. Packages are usually just left on my front porch. It wouldn't take long for anything to freeze, and who knows if the shipments are kept at a decent temp. on route. Does anyone know if the sensitive ingredients in these products will be at risk due to extreme cold temperatures? Does alcohol as an ingredient help, and what if there is no alcohol?
Thanks! |

I am not too sure any one here can answer your question on this one. I do know that many products have an upper limit on temperature but I have no idea on the lower temperature. |

I was wondering the same thing. I am waiting for a couple of skincare orders in the mail and last night it dipped down to -27C (Northern Ontario). Our mail sits in a mail box 10 miles away, until my hubby picks it up on his way home from work so I'm pretty sure I'll have some frozen products. Oh, don't you just love winter? |

Ontario, although the rest of Canada is the same - COLD. (Guess I should have specified celcius).
Well fellow northerners, I hope that the effort and the money spent is not wasted!
Now I'm wondering... what about all the products that are available locally? I'm sure they are not all shipped/trucked in ideal temps. Maybe a lot of the stuff we buy has been frozen at some point Would be interesting to find out... |
