I recently had to have an operation a few weeks ago & the Dr. said that I will notice my hair & especially lashes falling out at a greater rate due to the side effects of my medications. Sad So as you can imagine I was devistated! Crying or Very sad....& he was right especially about my lashes falling, I was loosing at least 6 at a time! Shock So I decided to try the Talika Eyelash Conditioning Cream, seeing as my lashes seemed quite dry & brittle to start with...probably due to the many years of neglect on my behalf! Rolling Eyes

When I first received my box, I was really suprised at how tiny the little pot/container was, i.e. 3.6ml for over AU$35 or so! Shock. Then after reading the ingredients I was even more annoyed to find out that it contains mineral oil as one of the main ingredients (but I guess maybe I should have done an ingredients list search online before purchasing). But anyway, the instructions are to use it 2x a day for about a month & then continue using 1x nightly. It's a bit hard to use it because you don't want to stick you fingers in the container, so you can use a cotton bud instead I guess.

After about 3 weeks of use I can notice my lashes are softer & maybe slightly stronger. I definitely wouldn't say they are longer or thicker Confused, but they're not falling out as much either!...however I have stopped taking my medications for about a 1 week now, so I'm not 100% sure if it's just the Talika working Question . I do have to emphasise though if you even get a tiny amount of this is your eye it really really stings, maybe because it has witch hazel in it?? Also I think the mineral oil is now starting to really irritate my eyes too. So I'm thinking of switching to Ardell instead & I'm pretty sure I'm not going to repurchase this again. I also haven't used the Talika Lipocils so I can't compare the two.

But overall I think the eyelash conditiong cream did soften & strengthen my lashes quite a bit, but unfortunately it also really irritated my eyes as well & it's a bit of a tricky product to use too.

Thanks for the review. Whenever I use anything that touches the roots of my lashes, and some gets in my eyes, it stings. I can understand how the cream must make your eyes feel.

I think as my friends suggest that VATAMIN E can also proved our lash, and it's quite naturally and not to irritate our eyes .

I've been using Talika for awhile and find the gel easier to use. The cream is nice but I find a bit more irritating.
